That's cool. I was just stating what I saw. FS was pretty good that year, too. I'm surprised that Fort Hill had such a great season in 2009. They looked pretty good, but they didn't blow me away. Maybe they were still working out the kinks at that point in the preseason. Not everybody clicks right off the bat, you know. By the way, you never told me what a scrimmage means. You said you were going to, but then you just talked about Fort Hill's season. I think I have a good idea what a scrimmage is, though, so don't worry about it. Still, I'm not sure what you were getting at. I really don't know why you people are getting so bent out of shape over a scrimmage. We're talking about a scrimmage. A scrimmage, man. We're talking about a scrimmage.

RE: Morgantown Football to scrimmage at Fort Hill, MD
I've seen FH and FS play and know of their programs and I'm in agreement with Mountie70 that you shouldn't even be talking about these two programs in the same sentence. There is no comparison. FH would manhandle FS. However, I do think they are down a little compared to what they were several years ago.

EDIT: I don't know how familiar you guys are with scrimmages, but "not breathing on the QB" is kind of customary. I don't think I've ever seen a scrimmage above Pop Warner where the QB was live. Andy, I've always wondered what Logan's options were when he came out and why he chose to go where he did.. There were alot of rumors about Purdue etc. I felt at the time he had the arm and athleticism to play a division or two higher. I think height played into it maybe. Just curious.

I was at the scrimmage, and quite honestly, there weren't enough plays run to tell you who would have won if they had played a regular season game. I can tell you this much. When both first teams were going at it, which was about 15 plays max both ways, it was pretty even. Fort Hill definitely had more depth, which was one of the reasons Coach Abbott pulled his starters after so few plays!! He couldn't afford to get anyone hurt. I do agree with the comments that most years, FH would most likely destroy FS. But that year, man would it have been fun to watch!!

RE: Morgantown Football to scrimmage at Fort Hill, MD
Both Cumberland schools are down a bunch from their glory days. Almost all of the industry in Allegany County has dried-up and the population has dropped considerably. They used to be in a conference with Martinsburg, Hagerstown and Frederick County schools, but not now. The teams that these schools play now would never have had an opportunity to play in the glory days. About the only thing positive about Allegany County is that they two prisons are where the jobs are.

They have been playing: John Marshall seems lke for ever Wheeling park seems like forever Brooke seems like forever University is for ever
The only reason their current schedule looks better is because of Parkersburg South, Martinsburg and Steuebenville, instead of East Fairmont, Fairmont Sr, Elkins, Buckahhon Upshur, and North Marion.
I wouldn't put Taylor Allderdice or Anacostia DC anywhere on the same level of the past teams on the MoTown schedule. The former WV teams at least had a beating heart and knew how to lineup correctly. All DC schools except Dunbar, Friendship Colliagate, and H D Woodson are nothing more than RENT A WINS and playing time for 2s and 3s. Morgantown started their series with Brooke in 2006. Morgantown played Brooke long before 2006; at least as early as 2000 The current series with Brooke started in 2006. They've played 8 times total and 6 of those games are from the current series (2006-2011).

In the Fort Hill: Martinsburg rivalry how many times has FH won and how many times have they played?
