Wheeling Central, Petersburg, and Clear Spring?

Shepherdstown Middle not available?

I thought Spring Mills was a AAA school.

Yes I do realize it is new and is not supposed to have any seniors.

Re: Spring Mills hs football schedule is

Wheeling Central was added late, they thought they had a game with Greenbrier East in that week.

Central needed a game and agreed to come to Spring Mills.

6 AAAs
3 AAs
1 A
Not to bad for a 1st year school with no Srs.

PARKERSBURG BIG REDS
16 WV AAA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The will to be a Champion means nothing
If you don't have the will to prepare

WINNERS  TRAIN
LOSERS  COMPLAIN

They already have 3 AAA cupcakes on the schedule with Jefferson, Washington, and Hedgesville.

Can't wait to see the playoff discussion in October/November if they can pull of a couple of wins over these three coupled with the 3-4 wins they should get over the AA/A schools.

I wouldn't count on a win over WCC, probably as good as or better than more than half of the AAA teams, especially next year, and that is the only A school on their schedule.

Actually, Wheeling was the one loss (3-4 wins) I was thinking about.

I dont think Jefferson, Washington or Hedgesville will be a easy win for them.......they might win three or four games tops.

I think the schedule has merit.  The only thing they need to correct is there is no Hampshire Senior High.  Just Hampshire High.

This is a good schedule. They will be like a JV team playing with no seniors and the guys have never played together before. They will take their lumps for several years.

Sophomore QB, who started a lot of games for Hedgesville last season, will be going to Spring Mills High School. That will help some.

wanted patriots. Washington already had. The middle school name though. Cardinals is the state bird, no others in the state. I think they are going to work with it well. At least original.

Re: Spring Mills hs football schedule is

well, you have the 3 time defending champ and one of best teams in state history (if not the), a quarterfinal AAA tourney team in Muss High, a building program in Washington, who knows w/ Jefferson & Hedgesville. I think it is a very solid first year. Remember, playing a AAA schedule but will have about 7 or 800 students year one and no seniors.

not to original when 20 other states have the same state bird! Should of went with black bear then with that thinking.

It should of had something to do with the civil war, yea the civil war was fought there! But no, the school board dropped the ball again. And Cardinal wasnt even the first choice the students wanted. The students first vote was  on four different mascot names and Cardinal wa not in the first vote. No one knows what the winner of the first vote was and the school board seemed to misplace the information.
Then the students had a second vote and the school board added Cardinal to the second vote. Yea Cardinal won the second vote, but what was the real winner from the first vote? Guess the school board didnt like the first mascot name and pushed the information from the first vote under the rug!
I know this because a friend of mine sent a FOIA request to the school board and asked for the results of the first mascot vote but the school board told him they cant find that information. Seems a little fishy to me .
