So....while we are on the subject..
of facility upgrades, here is another facility that looked like was in the works at one time or another: http://www.wvuf.org/docStorage...AC-Swimming.pdfCompeting against Texas is a whole new ball game. We will be embarressed in this sport too if we don't get better.

Agree that swimming upgrades should be next. It's a grueling sport that brings out the best in athletes, like wrestling.

I don't understand why the swimming pool was not constructed as an olympic size to start out with.

RE: So....while we are on the subject..
Really, if you are going to compare any of our facilites to Texas, we need ALL new facilities (as a lot of programs would). I think Hawley Field was the most lacking facility that WVU had and should have been taken care of years ago. I can see that the swimming facilites may be lacking in the Big 12. Can anyone put up a comparison of our facilties compared to the other 8 teams?

Most schools in the country would be found lacking if you compared their facilities to Texas.
Texas is the only Big 12 school which is a power in swimming and the only Big 12 school to ever finish first or second in the NCAAs.
But I agree we need better facilities.
