Competing against Texas is a whole new ball game. We will be embarressed in this sport too if we don't get better.

Agree that swimming upgrades should be next. It's a grueling sport that brings out the best in athletes, like wrestling.

I don't understand why the swimming pool was not constructed as an olympic size to start out with.

Really, if you are going to compare any of our facilites to Texas, we need ALL new facilities (as a lot of programs would). I think Hawley Field was the most lacking facility that WVU had and should have been taken care of years ago. I can see that the swimming facilites may be lacking in the Big 12. Can anyone put up a comparison of our facilties compared to the other 8 teams?

Let's Goooo Mountaineers!

First, scroll down and see who participates in what. Then you can see whyeveryone harps on Texas' facilities.

Most schools in the country would be found lacking if you compared their facilities to Texas.

Texas is the only Big 12 school which is a power in swimming and the only Big 12 school to ever finish first or second in the NCAAs.

But I agree we need better facilities.
