Re: usc are poor sports.
Huge opportunity for us if they go down, both in the polls/BCS and Heisman race.

Re: usc are poor sports.
The way they were pouting around on the sidelines when Stanford took the lead surprised me. They looked defeated and there was still loads of time left.

RE: usc are poor sports.
I think Kiffin's rep is base largely on a couple of things. First, he seems to get coaching credit simply for being the son of Monte Kiffin. Secondly, he is the football version of John Calipari. A slick recruiter and a players coach but not necessarily a great team builder. I just think it's much harder for that style of program building to pay dividends in Football vs Basketball. Coach Cal just has to get 5 all-stars to play together most nights to have a chance at a Final Four. It's much harder to run a loose program of 84 football players and get them to play smart 12 Saturdays in a row. In football, 11 dedicated, focused good athletes can whip 11 unfocused great athletes.

KJ1983 wrote: I bet USC stays ahead of us in the polls They lost to an unranked team, there is no way. Edit: #21, my mistake, still too far down the chain.

RE: usc are poor sports.
They will be ranked behind Stanford. How high do you think Stanford will rise in one poll?

KJ1983 wrote: I bet USC stays ahead of us in the polls This is the key. Are we now above or below the 1 loss line for top ranked teams falling after their 1 loss? In the past, they would slot in ahead of us. Will be very curious to see if we are now on the right side of that line.

hotcouch wrote: Can't wait to hear Colon Cowturd making excuses for his team of pretty boys going down! Screw USC! They are very thin. In a physical game like Stanford played (LOL, can't believe I just typed that) SC's lack of depth will show. Doubt this is their only loss this season. And yes, Kiffin is an a-hole. So is his Pappy. That is why SC are poor sports. And now that they have lost their shot at a NC, you could see an implosion. Who do they play next?
