Big Ten to play "neutral" site for postseason hockey

Does not sound very "neutral" to me as I think you guys are getting a raw deal:

Love the idea but the site needs to be rotated. Maybe 2015 Detroit, 2016 Chicago, 2017 Pittsburgh, etc...

Re: Big Ten to play "neutral" site for postseason

It may be eventually. Depends on who bids on it. the Big Ten doesn't just say "we want a tournament here." The sites put in bids.

The basketball tournaments have been played in Indianapolis for several years and that is hardly neutral from the thought that Purdue and IU are within commuting distance but only Indy and Chicago have ever bid on the games.

BTW, Indy and Chicago really are pretty neutral for those tournaments as ticket allocation is what makes then neutral, not location.

I really don't you think you're going to find a true "neutral" site.

It's more about large arenas to increase revenue.

I'm really shocked they didn't decide to place it permanently at Nationwide Area in C'bus.

Minnesota ran the WCHA and we will run the B1G.  The conference tournament will be at the X, always and forever.

Maybe I'll make the drive across the Wolverine State to watch Penn State at the Joe sometime.
