TAP poster Canzthemoose was kind enough to compile a list of Penn State bars from across the country for us. After seeing a few where to watch threads on Audibles, it made sense to share the list here. Mercury bar west in nyc is also a Penn state bar along with tonic east. Tonic west is osu though so avoid like the plague.

I live in Central Maryland and have not really found a good Penn State bar so I tend to watch online if they aren't on tv down here. Good to know about the Green Turtle in Ocean City

But that said, if you're in central MD, you can go to Sonoma's where the Central MD chapter has their watch parties.

If you're ever in the Bay Area (California) there is a GREAT sports bar in Palo Alto, CA. It is not a "Penn State Bar" per say, but it is owned by a Notre Damer and he's a really solid fan of College Football. Notre Dame, Big Ten are the "primary" games to tune into at 9am at The Old Pro. The food is top notch and the suds are always cold and inviting to anyone who appreciates college football! I live in Virginia now, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this sports bar to anyone who happens to be in the Bay Area.

San Francisco: Monaghan's on Pierce St in the Marina.
I had a great time watching the game there, when I was in town. The place was all Texas A&M when I walked in during the early game, but it was ALL Penn State and lively as heck by the time kickoff rolled around. Even the bartenders were into it. Eberyone was singing the fight songs. It's true blue and white.

I'll be in the Pasadena/Glen Burnie Maryland area for the OSU game this weekend. Any good bars close by that I can catch the game? I believe there's a BUffalo Wild Wings near their but not sure of their Game programming. I'd prefer hooters  , but wherever I can see the game will be good. thanks |

The main TV's showed every game( with no sound) but there were also booth TV's/ Great service and environment, ad perhaps some of the best food I've ever had at a bar.

In San Diego:
Where my parents live, dad = professoer emeritus, we visit every fall.
PSU SD alumni chapter meets for all games @ The Tilted Kilt in the Mission Valley Mall - Tilted Kilt = Hooters style sports bar.
Review from last weeks Purdue game:
One large section of bar reserved for PSU with two giant big screens and lotsa small TVs. Giant screens only OK if viewpiont front and center. Food/beer selection/quality good. The staff consists of lotsa young hot girls (it is SoCal) and a few guys in the standard garb that makes sure their best assets are prominently prominent.
The local club has a large following with a youngish prez (class of 1999) and some quite vocal cheerleaders. They hold a raffle for PSU stuff each game.

The Rum Barrel in Key West is a good PSU bar. I think the owner was (or still is, not sure) a part owner of the flyers too.
