A top athlete who switches high schools can have a big impact on his or her new team. 6. Chaminade, 15
7. Vista Murrieta, 15

Re: Sondheimer Story on Top 10 Transfer Schools

This is a list of the top 10 football teams as ranked at the end of last season with the # of transfers on their rosters.
These are not necesarrily the top 10 transfer schools. Bonnie for example had around 14 but were not a top 10 team so not on this list.Bishop Amat takes in a lot of transfers also.

Nothing were really didn't already know  ...........

Just confirms what we already knew, CIF has a big problem, for the most part they are doing something about it this season  ......... you transfer students big time expect to be in D1. The only surprise which of course us in the know already questioned ........ why isn't MV still in the Pac5 Dividion?

Ok those are the top ranked teams, how about the top transfer schools, period?
Imagine there will be duplicates from list above, but would love to see who else has maximum transfers?
Btw, this only captures transferring after the 9th grade or is it also out of district 8th graders into a school?

What district is Bonnie in.

The LAUSD is about 40 miles accross, an 8th grade kid from Carson Ca could enroll at El Camino in Woodland Hills and still be in the district.noidea

Re: Sondheimer Story on Top 10 Transfer Schools

I'm thinking the same district as your eagles!
Don't really care about LAUSD, unless for example transfers from say Birmingham to a CIF school,
data above must have been mined by ES via CIFSS records.
Curious to see Top 25 football transfer schools.

Yeah, I'm sure El Camino is the destination for most recruits headed to that side of the Valley.

This article only only states football and basketball transfers . Bishop Amat only got 1 transfer on last years football team and 1 this coming season . Both players will not be playing much at there position .

How does Serra finish ahead of Nade or SOND above Bonnie ? when both teams were eliminated by the other last year. Or was this just final regular season poll?

Re: Sondheimer Story on Top 10 Transfer Schools

Pre Season poll = Starting Point only.

Biggest gap on the list above is the glaring omission of Servite????
Some National polls have the Friars Top Ten in the USA.

After week 2 or 3 changes, a Bonny and or Westlake could easily break in to this list.

Again this was the top 10 at the end of last regular season(2013), before the playoffs.

The topic of the thread is wrong and misleading    Foothill02 must not have read the actual blurb. Hard to believe since he posted the linkohlord

Re: Nade Had 15 Transfers And Still got beat By Hart

All that tells us is Nade had a bunch of late year transfers and they had to wait till the middle of October before they got to play.

Just shows us you had a bunch of hired guns to make your nice run, nothing more.

Don't banging on you guys, glad you now get to hang with a bunch of others who do the same thing, should be interesting.

Oh!  Forgive me for bringing up the State Regional game,  let's just pretend that never happened.  Did not mean to poop on your thread with a dose of reality.  eek1eek1

Re: Nade Had 15 Transfers And Still got beat By Hart

First contest was a great game, but that's because 'Nade was not at full strength and really didn't pull out the "A list" plays.  They were trying out new players, defenses, plays.

Do you really think Croson would have called that last play of the game if the championship was on the line?  That's why they win the re-match.
Face it, that game was meaningless as it turned out, just a good/great scrimmage for 'Nade.  Still, may have been about the most fun you could have watching a hs game.

lol are you serious?? If Serra was not who they were and CIF did not have a hard on for a re match scenario.. Chaminade and Hart would not have played.. Hart won the head to head.. of course it matters for Rankings and Bowl games.. If there were not Bowl games Hart would have been higher ranked due to the head to head matchup..

the Regional was obviously more important and mattered at that point in the year..

That game was decided on 5 big plays..

1) Hart fumbles at the 30 yard line its returned to their own 20 for a 50 yard gain.. Chaminade threw a 19 yard pass than a 1 yard run for a 7-0 lead.

2) Chaminade blocked a  Hart FG attempt inside the 5 yard line where Hart was shut down on running attempts..

3) The huge TD pass on 4th and long to the 6'5 Canada transfer along the sidelines in double coverage..  It was 7-3 Chaminade midway through the 3rd quarter at this point and Hart had a FG BLOCKED inside the 5 yard line in the first half..

4) 55 yard punt return to the 2 yard line a few minutes later..

5) The play by Chaminades D-End.. #85??

Both teams scored a TD with a few minutes left in the 4th...

Both defenses shutdown each others offenses… Chaminade made 4 big plays that drastically changed the game..

the game was MUCH closer than the score indicated rather than not even CLOSE… Chaminade was clearly the better team that night.. If Hart could establish a run game via the offensive line and B. White was not a turnover machine like he was 6 out of the last 7-8 games last year.. Hart would have been much stronger and perhaps the result would be different… Chaminade was a very strong team last year.. I liked when they committed to the run and would play action to Lee.. Lee brothers, Watkins, Canada, Hill (hurt) etc.. they were so fast.. Similar to a St Bonaventure team except i'd say the older SB teams were still better coached and more  ferocious / brutal.

#85 is 2x State Champ Joel Loth (aka Superman).  Joel has a ring from BBall too. State champs.

As Junior last year he was 6'4" 215lbs, but has been working to beef up.  That's right, he's baaaaack.  6'5" 225??.  He has several offers.

First Hart/Nade matchup, IMO, was more fun to watch because of all the scoring, big plays.  Hartfootball, you have your facts right, but I never had the feeling that Nade was ever in serious trouble, esp. after Lee's fumble recovery, almost scoop n score, in the first.

BTW, I could never figure out how he got tackled from behind on that one.  That fumble led to big gain that should have been a TD.  Whoever that was who caught up with him must be really fast.  Hope he graduated.
