Markeill Taylor at Canyon High School is one to watch.

Markeill Taylor at Canyon High School is one to watch.

If you want to see a special player this weekend, head out to the Clairemont Passing Tourney. Markeill Taylor is an unreal athlete. As a WR the kid just simply can not be covered and there is no WR that He can not cover on defense. The 170lb sophomore is one of the top 5 strongest kids in Canyon's weight room. I am not sure how Canyon found this kid, but I am glad they did. After the SCV says farewell to JJ & Trent. It will be Markel the league will be talking about. Let's just make sure we can get him the ball Coaches.

Let's put that in the vault and see if he can't be covered after the first game by Harrison, and see how he does against Henry and Bacelli on defense. Those three are all D1 kids with offers and should be as good as he sees all year. biggrin

Lots of kids look great in 7 on 7, no blind side hits on QBs, no linebacker coming after you. Plenty of time to throw the ball. Every thing changes when after the pads go on. Look forward to seeing him after the touch football league is over.

Yes, this kid is legit. Very strong, athletic with some bite in him. He's going to transition into pads nicely.

This kid was great in pads last season and may have been the only reason their JV scored points. Played JV due to transfer I think. He is definitely going to be a good one. His problem is opportunity. With the Cabreras and MacAfee he will not get a lot of touches in games. Compounding this further in my opinion is that Canyon is getting suckered into starting a flag football player at QB who will not perform. This will take away touches as well. This kid can play for any college in the nation trust me. Canyon does not get big colleges come around much so some middle of the road school is going to be real happy getting this kid. Also, I suspect there is no need to go to Claremont today as the coaches will start keeping this kid on the down-low.

Link to HL tape? Would love to see game tape, even if it's at JV level.

Lets see how much honor and integrity Canyon has for him. Sounds like this kid should be no problem placing at a D1. What offers does their class of 2015 have for football??

They kept this kid on JV all year to make sure they won a couple of games. He could have gone up at some point during the season. They even brought a couple of kids back down last year to make the JV more competitive. What happened the year before that? They couldn't send someone down to help... How many of the kids from JV two years ago are still playing today. Can I count them on one hand? Honor and integrity my A**! Poorly managed.

By the way. This kid is great. Stay focused kid, work hard and you can do great things biggrin.

Unfortunately it seems his coaches from last year did not care enough about the kid to help put one together. Too concerned about their own kids I guess.
Thats not true.ohlord

I watched his hudl highlights yesterday.

Great! I am glad that I am wrong about this. He deserves to have highlights up. Rare find.

No. The ones I am referring to would not have given a damn to put up the highlight. They are only about their own kids, but let's get back to a great athlete that trust me, Nade wishes they had.

Nade has 2 RB that are better than this kid. Trust me.
