FOOTBALL: Chaminade at Oaks Christian will be on TV Posted on February 14, 2013 by Jack Pollon The nonleague game between Chaminade and Oaks Christian scheduled for Friday September 20th has been moved to Thursday September 19 for television. Fox Sports West will televise the game locally and DirecTV has agreed to make it a national telecast. It is the earliest a game has ever been locked in for television, according to John Costello at the CIF Southern Section office.

I think it's going to be more and more common that you see these TV games being locked up earlier and earlier, now that the High School season for most teams are becoming more and more broadcasted, via either the internet streams or live Television. Networks like FSW/FSN and Timewarner want to get their choices in as early as possible.

Tv time like this for a private school is excellent for advertising/ recruiting for each school. What a valuable Tool.

Well hopefully OC can have a good year, as they are de-emphasizing football.

About time football takes the lead from baseball. Lets have year around football and be done with it. That way more money to be made and give all the football junkies what they need.

Myself, I will stick with the old fashioned seasonal sports set-up.

Is Oaks as well off as they were a few years ago? I dont think so but they are not de-emphasizing football. I think they have made a couple bad decisions coaching wise over the last year, not intentionally or not without the hope of hiring the right guy to keep the ball rolling. Just bad decisions.

Oaks will still be one of the best teams in the area next season. Time will tell wont it fat boy?

Nade will be one of the top teams in the area again next season also. It should be a good early season matchup that Im convinced Nade will take at Oaks.

SM and SB were at the same level. OC and Chaminade aren't. OC is a higher level.
