Re: new leagues with St. B. and Oaks
historically, whatever league oaks and bonnie joins turns to sh@t within a year. i like how in that article they have St. Francis, HW, cathedral on the list lol. so they are gonna get shuffled around and fked with, and we are still gonna have the moore league in the pac5 with no edison and los al... WL has been very quiet this whole time too.

Re: new leagues with St. B. and Oaks
Harvard-Westlake should definitely be swapped with Alemany.
Cathedral, St. Francis and St. Paul thought they had it bad with Serra and Chaminade. Swapping out Chaminade for Bishop Amat and Loyola is gonna hurt!

Re: new leagues with St. B. and Oaks
Not sure how they will finally compose the leagues for football only, but it seems like the "big schools" will be broken into two separate geographical areas for the general division of leagues...
Big North/West of Santa Monica Mountains Alemany Chaminade Notre Dame Harvard W/L Crespi Oaks Bonnie
Big South/East ofSanta Monica Mountains Loyola Bishop Amat Damien Cathedral St Francis (possibly) Bishop Montgomery Serra
I think St Paul ends up in league with smaller schools like La Salle and Salesian.

Re: new leagues with St. B. and Oaks
10 team, 2 division league, por favor. Use the exact same format as the Marmonte league, with a Week 10 championship game (and subsequent ones) right before the playoffs.
An 8 team league would be god awful; 3 non-league games and arguably the most brutal and best league in the country (or one of). No thanks.
A 10 team, split league gives each team a better ability to showcase itself in non-league and build a strength of schedule, as well as give the league the best odds of getting as many teams into the playoffs as possible. That and a 2 division format would give everyone the best Week 10 showcase of teams.
That proposal is just too awesome for them to accept, though, so naturally they'll go with some retarded 8 or 9 team, single table league.

Re: new leagues with St. B. and Oaks
I doubt St. Paul would want to be dropped. Cathedral, on the other hand might be looking to get moved down.

Re: new leagues with St. B. and Oaks
This is a CAA league....... it's been pretty much established by the WHS promoters on this site that J. B. (Zippy) walks on water so ....... throw Westlake HS into the 101 Fwy. League.

ArmchairLB wrote: Have you outgrown Serra already? No not at all, Serra is as good or better than all of those teams but Serra isnt a rival of Chaminade like Crespi, ND, Alemany where many of the kids know each other from, middle school, youth football, other sports in the Mission league, etc. SB is only because I would like to see a real game between Nade and Bonnie. Playing Serra is as good of a challenge as any but just isnt the same.

Re: new leagues with St. B. and Oaks
Not putting Nade down, they have come a long way for a private school. However, they still don't have the swagger of a Bonnie, Alemany or Crespi. Keep getting better, you will arrive soon.

Basically what Beercat said: Nade is almost there, but they haven't quit arrived at that level yet. Getting better every year, though.

I agree Nade has a way to go and this year they will be better. This is why I want Bonnie and Nade in the Same league, Goose would surely tell us that Bonnie is not at that level yet either having lost by 21 points in a shutout to Mater Dei. Since moving up divisions Bonnie has had problems getting to the top. Beercat...."swagger" please.
