Ventura High football coach Brad Steward is stepping down
Article will be in tomorrow's VC Star. Here is the article. He is a single parent and has a daughter with a rare genetic condition. "She said it would break her heart if I coached," Steward said. "She wants her dad around. That is the bottom line." LINK

Glad to hear it. The Guy was one of the biggest Bonnie haters around. His teams were starting to look like a Buena roster and I guess he saw the writting on the wall.

SFactor, glad to see that you are still an AHOLE and a tool. This guy has done a lot for the Ventura program. His wife passed from away in 2011 and he was going to step down then, but his daughter asked him not to at the time. Just because he didn't care for your program (which continually beat up on his and also took players away from his) is not reason to hate on them. His daughter is a great kid and has been around the program for years and has some serious health issues. Grow up. |

That was one of the sheetiest posts I've seen. Own up to it man. BTW sensitivity training would be a good investment in the new year??? Good luck to Coach Stewart and his family in the future. No doubt he will find his way to watch some Cougar games from the sidelines in the years to come.

I think Sensitivity training may be more significant than Anger Management courses.
There is more to life than the outcomes of football games. Sounds like Coach Steward is more than a stand up guy and deserves a lot more respect than sfactor gives him.
Come on man, show some class and decency.
It's not whether you win or lose but what you learn as a member of your team that really matters.

What a moron  (keeping it pg). Steward is a great man and a really good coach. I'd rather be great at "life" than coaching. Hope he enjoys his time with his daughter. After reading the article it seemed to get dusty in my office. |

I didn't belittle the Guy You overzealous azzholes. You have no clue how hard he tried to screw up our schedule. Im talking football in here not personal shots; can u seperate the two? I's all about timing ............ thought it may be true what sfactor said it wasn't the right thread to state it. However, I must agree with sfactor that the use of actual names is a big no no, personally one should be banned for disclosing personal identity about another poster.

You don't get it man. As a friend of the Seraphs, your posts are perplexing at best and at worse idiotic, you are not indicative of the aspirational goals of the SB program.
While I realize your ego may not be inclined to welcome suggestions, would you kindly think before you post? Or perhaps kick your dog instead. Please don't do that either.

No what you did was bull$hit. He is leaving due to his daughters illness, which I can only hope allows her more time with her father. But no, you don't see or feel anything but hate for the man. So whatever he did, did it really have any effect on the Bonnie fb program? If he had not done what you are saying would bonnie not have gone to the semi's in the pac5 this year?

I appreciate some of you bonnie guys sticking up for Brad. He is an outstanding Christian Man, who has had a tough road to go down the last few years. He is a great
example of what a husband and father should be. The example he set for his
players during his wife’s illness and passing is a testament to his faith. This
is way more important than wins or loses. |

I have deleted the post with your name - this was done out of respect for all of the other individuals at may have felt that it was in bad taste to do. I have not changed my feelings for your comments regarding this topic. Very poor judgement on your part. I know how Bonnie feels about the other local schools, and yes I bet that feeling is the same from them towards Bonnie. I know nothing of Coach Steward, but that he had taken VHS to a new level. And as a fb fan in ventura, I appreciate his work on and off the field. Now just write another check to Bonnie for $15,000 and say it was for the athletic teams, but the players on the football team that benefited from that "Donation" will hopefully send you a Christmas Card next year. |
