I know of the ones at Chaminade and will post their highlights.
I love watching a good highlight reel so please post links to any top returning players for next season so that we know who to look for.

That kid from ND looks like a player. Did he play against Chaminade? I dont remember him. He looks good though.

Canyon has a lot of young talent coming back, including 4 sophomores and a freshman that started last season.  3 of the sophomores were All Foothill League.

Mcafee is a stud , fast and plays wit attitude .. If canyon uses him right he's a mismatch on offense and defense to anyone in league besides maybe wings from hart

He started on offense, but didn't have anything thrown his way. And he didn't play defense till we got into league. Congrats on the great season u guys had. Ur team was awesome.

Richard went both ways in the season opener at Valencia.  He was equally impressive as a safety & had several crunching hits that I witnessed!  This kid is a stud & deserves all the praise he is getting!  Best of luck this coming season to him.

Richard is strong and has great cutting ability. There were a lot of great runs in that highlight. He has to be one of the top backs in California. He should have a great season next year.

Re: Top returning local players next season?

I agree with "NadeFan" and "itsgodgiven". Demario is really fun to watch on both sides of the ball. I think his best quality is his versatility. As a sophomore he was in a an offense featuring 3-back power running formations and excelled, and then this year in a spread offense he was even more explosive. He's got great hands and could start at WR for most schools if he wanted to. He annihilated people on defense as a Sophomore playing a lot of OLB before being moved to mainly offense last year and then to Safety as a junior. His style reminds me of Arians Foster where there is no inefficiency in his running and cutting and then they have that lateral, side-step, jump-cut sort of move when people over-pursue. He definitely prefers contact to the stop-n-go, stutter-style juking. Next year at Palmdale the QB is a good passer and a VERY good runner so Read Option and Play-Action should be beneficial for Demario and Palmdale as defenses will have to respect different weapons. He is a home-grown kid who passed up various Private School's recruiting spiels and he is actually one of the youngest kids in his grade in this day and age of parents starting kids late or holding them back for an advantage. Now I'm just hoping he looks at Ka'Deem Carey's stats at Univ of Arizona and follows fellow Palmdale alum, Dave Richards, to Tucson for his college career. No idea if they've offered or if he'd go, but that'd be my vote.

Canyons squad looks solid. A lot of starting returners that will make a difference. They're a spunky bunch. The skill positions have a lot of speed and experience. The line will also be returning with a lot of beef. With a stronger preseason this team will be battle tested when they hit league and playoffs. Can't wait.

Isaiah Renfro #7 Sophmore WR/FS. His 8 interceptions lead the league, CIF Mid-Valley Division and tied him for 2nd in the State. Also had 26 receptions for 502 yds. (19.3 ypc.) and 7 TD receptions on offense.

Isaiah Renfro 2012 Season Highlights

Kieran Yancy #21 Junior RB/WR/CB/KR. Big time talent. Lockdown corner and dynamite return man. Also a matchup nightmare in the slot. Averaged over 34 yds. per kickoff return.

Re: Top returning local players next season?

Nadefan,

I watched a lot of Nade games last year and agree some of these guys will really take it to another level next year or continue it (i.e. Lee).  I think there are a few others who could break out that you haven't listed.  I find it odd that all 5 of these guys you show have CSA video's and not Hudl like other posters here use and the schools use.  I hope you didn't just use CSA video's as the rationale of who you posted and ignore some other top guys who just use Hudl?  Just curious.

Definately nice hands.  But notice the clip against GV at the 55 second mark.  After the catch has a 10 yard lead on everyone but a GV kid doesn't give up and makes up 10 yards in 50.  That kid is Terry Tamura, keep an eye out for this kid.  He has sick speed and is getting faster.  Hope he works hard in the offseason.
