Re: Home Depot ... Scores
Central Catholic is a mini Bonnie. Around 400 kids and they destroy most teams, a power rating of 46.
Why have a bowl game against 2 teams with a 20 point power rating difference between the 2 schools.

Re: Home Depot ... Scores
damn that jr qb poly has throws a decent pass. they get by with all their athletes, and no real need for qb? i dunno, i saw that ball fly just now and i thought when was the last poly qb that threw a ball that well? chris lewis?
granite bay stuffs poly 4th down at midfield gb playing fast and ready. see how long it holds up?

Never change Poly. And by that, I mean never stop having idiot coaches.

Hahaha. Like I said. Best talent in California. One of the worst coaching staffs in California.
I don't want to imagine what Poly would do to teams with even adequate coaching, let alone a tremendous one.

Oaks and westlake both beat these guys. It's has to be the coaching period.

Re: Home Depot ... Scores
Congrats to Granite Bay on a hard fought win! Obviously, they improved a lot since week 4. Sorry guys, Oaks or Westlake wouldn't beat them now...
This is the undisciplined LB Poly team we all know and love. I am surprised that this didn't happen in the SJB or MD games...
LB Poly is not even close to having the best talent in Ca this year. I mean besides Ju Ju, the 2 good RB's and a few others, who do they have?...
Can you really blame Coach Lara for the 5 ints? How about the Pat miss?...
I know all along that if you forced LB Poly to pass, bad things would happen for them...
For you guys that can't understand why LB Poly plays undisciplined ball, you need to read the book One Great Game by Don Wallace. This book covers the 1st DLS-LB Poly matchup and explains both cultures well. Maybe Santa will get it for you.

Re: Home Depot ... Scores
It wasn't the lack of talent that caused the loss by LBP. Won't comment on LBP other than that ........ but ............. GB did more with less, played aggressively, played assignments well, kids wanted it & the coaching was solid.

Re: Home Depot ... Scores
Another game that didn't turn out the way I thought. Before the game I would have given 14 points to GB.
Their losing to Westlake and Oaks just shows the importance of playing decent teams early in your schedule. You cannot improve playing the cupcake teams. I believe it does more harm than good beating the lesser teams.
Congratulations to the Coach from GB for getting his team to the title game and winning. Great job for the Team and Program.
It's not whether you win or lose but what you learn as a member of your team that really matters.

Re: Home Depot ... Scores
Can you imagine, if Lad & Staff just happened to retire from DLS and take over the POLY program? With all those athletes, and the multitudes more that would flock to the new & improved program??? You would have as many natl titles as the staff wanted, and the 151 streak would be in jeopardy!

Re: Home Depot ... Scores
If LBP played all their Pac-5 playoff opponents again they wouldn't beat one of them. How they got through the playoffs I'll never know. Their Offense sucks and their defense is undisciplined. OC and WL would still both beat Granite Bay.................

Give LBP some credit, I thought they were a 'one (2 if they were LUCKY) and done' playoff team but they rose up when they needed to, taking on Amat, MV, SJB, and MD, some the best the Pac5 had to offer, and found a way to win them'all. I don't think it was by accident. The consensus is that they're not a well-coached squad (and showed again last night), which is unfortunate 'cause they have the horses to make deep playoff runs EVERY year.
