Chaminade at Morro Bay
I cant wait to be done with the central coast. There is no reason why teams from los angeles county where we have 100's of teams available to create divisions should be in the same division as teams this far north. Does the lpl compare to the pac7? No but who gives a crap. Those teams constntly play each other anyway.

Morro Bay wont b that lucky.
This is playoffs, no time to fuk around.
The goal should be to force a running clock and get home as early as possible.
I have noticed that mb doesnt protect the ball to well. With MB running and nade running it will go fast and I expect nade to get lots of kids pt.
Ill be filming the lompoc game down here.

Took the day off, played some golf, and I thought the Morro Bay field was CLASSIC old style HSFB. That area is totally beautiful. Those guys up there played with a lot of heart. A great memory. I think the game itself will be very boring, of course. Ventura

Re: Chaminade at Morro Bay
Years back OC played MB @ MB. OC won of course but got to talk with Montana for a few minutes. Who wouldn't thought one could talk to Montana in little Ol' MB on some old grass field .......... That's what I love about the game, those un-expected surprises

Yes 2004 championship, Crespi won 25-8
In the 2005 championship you guys did it again 24-14
Once again Lompoc has a nice undefeated run going ...... what is it now, 31?

Lompoc is a great program with great fans. They were welcoming, polite and great sports. It was fun sharing our special hot chocolate with the cat.

Re: Chaminade at Morro Bay
I see that calpreps has Chaminade listed as a 6 TD (42 points) favorite. My fearless prediction is that the game will be closer than that. (How's that for sticking my neck out? ) As prior posters have noted, Morro Bay is a wonderful place to spend some time. If I were driving up from the beautiful ( sic) San Fernando Valley I would plan on spending Friday night in Morro Bay and making a more leisurely drive back later in the weekend. (And no, I don't work for the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce.) Hearst Castle is just a short distance up Route 1. When was the last time you were there? While a Morro Bay victory on Friday would be an upset of major proportions, I believe that the Chaminade faithful will come away from Friday's game with a deep respect for the determination and heart of the Morro Bay team. This is HIGH SCHOOL football, not the NFL or Big Money College football. In the end, the game may not turn out to be a "nail biter", but I suspect that every young man on the field will cherish the experience.

Re: Chaminade at Morro Bay
Oh yeah ............. 'special hot coco' BTW, my guess is it will be drizzle and cold. I've been to MB for games where it was hard to see across the field. Maybe Newby gets lost and goes the wrong direction to only score a few points for MB. I would bring 'special hot coco' and long undies umbrella water proof jacket

I also thought the Morro Bay team was determined and fought hard. Again, nice people, great fans. Only problem, the lights went out in third quarter!!!!!

Re: Chaminade at Morro Bay
It's great that everyone has all these ideas on how us fans should handle the long drive. Stay overnight, spend the weekend, etc. What you all don't consider with these absurd distances is the kids. The Nade kids will have to essentially miss most of school to play this Friday's game. That's wrong. If the CIF wants to have this stupid divisions with hours between teams, then they should have a rule that if the distance is more than 2 hours, the game should be Saturday instead of Friday.

Re: Chaminade at Morro Bay
Wow, those poor kids missing a day of school. That is probably one of the the players biggest concern. You just make up the work just like the athletes in other sports have been doing for years. My junior and senior year it seemed like we were never in class during Cif for baseball. Angel stadium one year, Dodger stadium the next, both early games. This is nothing new.

Re: Chaminade at Morro Bay
Traveling to a divisional playoff game requiring 7-9 hours and 400-500 miles of travel is bulls hit when your school is within 50 miles of 200-300 different highschools.
I dont expect people on the central coast to have any clue because they dont have a choice but to travel, they only have 15-20 schools up there. I guarantee that if there were 250 schools between Paso robles and Lompoc, and they were placed into a division with schools 250 miles away. every one of those schools would be screaming and crying.
Tell me they wouldn't

Re: Chaminade at Morro Bay
Your right, we don't have a clue why your all bitching. This is the norm up here. Heck, we can travel close to 190 miles R/T for a league game let alone a 500 mile R/T for a playoff game.
Quit being such a cry baby, especially you nadefan, your heading to the Lompoc game down close to you.

Re: Chaminade at Morro Bay
Nadefan is not normally a happy camper. Or haven't you noticed? Nature of the beast.
I will say it would be hard for me to go that far for a game that's not fun to watch.
Speaking from the position of being left out of the dance, I would travel 500 miles for a pac 5 contest at this time of year, with a giant smile on my face.
Gratitude and appreciation are keys to a happy life!
