I dont think they have those meetings until all teams from the Marmonte are finished with their season. So may not happen until December sometime. Coaches who are in the playoffs wont take time out for this kind of meeting before the next playoff game.

They have the meetings before the playoffs but don't release the names until the final team from league is eliminated.

I would think Zach Green of St. Bonnie is the no-brainer choice for MVP ....

Re: All-Marmonte League Team Selections?

This year there were 8 teams and the big 2, so I'm sure if they use the stupid rules that every team must have players voted to the All-League team. The big 2 will get shorted. OC and SB would have 75% of the team in the real world, but every kid should get a trophy.Right?

75% ? You should do stand up.

Plenty of talent spread amongst all 10 teams for a good mix of individuals to be named.  Green would be a good choice for MVP.

I heard their is an all league west and east.  The west coaches voted for those in the west and the east for the east.  Anyone confirm?

There are kids like your son that belong on the team, but how many times have guys said that SB and OC win because they have all these D1 players, yet All league selections come and there are kids on it that we've never heard of. Every year it's the same thing. Great players left off and no name players put on the team because their seniors.

Re: All-Marmonte League Team Selections?

I think the All Marmonte selections are a watered down joke. There should be 11 positional players with a kicker/punter and a utility position for both the offense and defense. Unfortunately there are like 24 players on 1st team Offense and 24 on defense. The All CIF team is the only true award that is usually on the Money. Good luck to all the Bonnie nominees.

I put more stock into the VC star's all-area team than I do the all-league awards. Bunch of crap.

Re: All-Marmonte League Team Selections?

Goose,
Both these awards programs leave a lot to be desired.
The awards from the League and Coaches should be the benchmark.  Again should be.
Bottom 7 need to grow up, if in fact they voted against the big 3 on awards night.
WASN'T THE KIDS FAULT THE TEAMS GOT PUT IN THE MARMONTE.

Reward those who earn it.

I do realize that this concept is contrary to a popular and very current trend in American Politics.  redface

Oh yeah, I meant to add a "and that's sad" at the end of that, because VC's awards are almost as bad.

I stand corrected

Citichamp

I stand corrected!  On Maxpreps there are 7 D-1 offers for current OC players and 2 for SB for 2013,2014,2015 classes.  Others I'm sure that played this year will get them.  Sorry for the 'stand up' comment.

Voting

Ega

Have to agree with you that the players shouldn't be penalized for the CIF's poor decision on leaguing.  Best player in.

I believe SB has 5 kids with D1 offers and rumor has it that it might be up to 7 soon.

By my count there's Thompson, Green, Town and Dixon who all have D1 offers, and if I were to guess, they probably have at least 2, maybe 3 more kids that will get offers in the future.

That's what I have according to the recruiting site I subscribe to. Although out of the 7-8 offers for Oaks only 5 players a have actual offers. The Riggins kid doesn't hold any offers even though he has stated to sources he has offers. I also saw he was listed at 5'11 190 . Problem is most recruiting sites don't fact check.

Greens performance against OAKS in the final sealed it for me. He is the MVP.

Talking to parents on SB I've heard Thompson, Green, Town, Dixon, and Dosch have offers, and 2 others that might receive offers soon. That's 7 D1 kids.
