With their current 6 commits, they are at a 4.00 average. It won't be that on signing day. We are currently at 3.78 avg.

It's the Ruin moral victory patrol.
Would you rather have 4 top 100 or 2?  Would you rather have 6 4 star or better or 4?
Not to mention Rivals has USC at an average of 4 stars and UCLA an average 3.83.

I'd be surprised if this UCLA class is not near or above 4.0 average.  If we had a full 25+ person class I'd say it'd probably be a little closer to 3.7 or 3.8, but with somewhere around 18 scholarship that will be given out, I'm thinking it'll be higher.

These clowns don't yet realize how polluted Mora is leaving the recruiting waters.  It's only a matter of time before the baby-blue program is considered toxic.  biggrin

That means ZERO three stars and nothing but 4's and 5's if you think your class is at or above 4.0 or at least one or more of 5 star for every 3 star to balance out the 3's. Not going to happen.   There are only so many 5 stars in the nation and Ucla will whiff on more than they land.   See: 2014 class... or really any Ucla class.   There's more half-full info being passed around on BRO than half-empty or even just the reality of 'what's in the glass'.

Another issue with Ucla's target list ... once again very OOS heavy for top ranked players.  The worst thing that could happen to Ucla (as well as Oregon, ASU and U of A) is for Texas to get back on track.   The state of Texas has been very kind to these four PAC 12 teams the past few years and with the rise of TAMU and Charlie Strong at the helm at Texas, picking off top Texas talent won't be as easy. Couple that with Klemm being removed from SMU and that pipeline becomes smaller and smaller.

The other issue is that Ucla's desperately trying to crack SEC country.  So far that's been full of whiffs vs hits and the same game-plan appears to be in play again in 2015 class.  That's some major recruiting time and money being sunk into a region that has not paid dividends for the Bruins.

The only reason this dolt buttplug thinks the baby-blue class will end up so highly ranked is because he's drinking Tracy's koolaid.  Those poor schleps still believe that dope no matter how many times he's lead them astray.  eek1

Re: I need a slow explantion

Not so sure you can dismiss UCLAs current recruiting success.  If they have a good year, which they should given who returns, they will most likely have a top 10 class.  If we have a bad year, we will sink down the rankings and maybe do so dramatically.

Re: I need a slow explantion

Grouler, I think logic could apply to most Pac-12 schools, however, there are anchor programs in college football, of which USC is one, therefore I don't believe a bad season would result in a dramatic change,in recruiting for us.

I think with the up-tempo we will see a slight change in offensive personnel we target though. You are correct with UCLA, they have had some recruiting success, and that success as you know, comes interest.

Re: I need a slow explantion

Not surprising that a trojan needs a slow explanation. I can help you, since Bruins are used to it by now.

Of UCLA's 6 commits, they average a ranking of 4 stars. This currently is the highest average in the country.

USC's 9 commits average 3.78 stars.

To help you out, 4 is greater than 3.78.

For the record, I'm not saying UCLA has a better class. It has been argued by some on your board (unsuccessfully I might add) that avg star rating is the only true rating in recruiting. If that were the case, that means Alabama's current class of 16 4 stars and 3 3 stars isn't as good as UCLA'S 2 5 stars, 2 4 stars, and 2 3 stars. Hopefully you realize how dumb that argument is.

Hope that was slow enough for you.
