You seem to forget woof, that I spent a lot of time on the back of a bike touring that area of the country on more than one occasion.  Spend lots of time doing it down here too.  And to tell you the truth, while admittedly, Southerners may be a little slack jawed from time to time, they're usually not stoned what seems to be the majority of the time. 

I've found people in the "great Northwest" to be not only a little strange, but to overindulge in herb just a little too often for my preference.  Maybe they don't overindulge, but they sure do seem to be strange almost all the time!

You forget I have lived about everywhere, and while I do not invalidate your findings, what my experiences have led me to is this.

I would also like to add that the top money crop in Ky. is pot. Ky is down south isn't it? When I lived there I saw more people stoned than anyone would think.

Of course alcohol is alright because it's legal right? Even though it does more damage to the human body than pot. Also people on alcohol tend be a lot more violent and tend to get very stupid to say the least. When was the last time a couple of stoners got into a fight, or a knife fight or a shootout while they were high?

There is a bill that is going before Congress that would make pot like alcohol as in being taxed and regulated like alcohol. If you believe that pot should be treated like alcohol and you believe the taxes from pot would help this country contact your congress person and let them know.

If you want to pull people over for having buckeye leaf decals on their car, with the idea that they are drug dealers,  they should move the whole operation from Tennessee to Columbus.

Those jackasses could just set up a roadblock on any road in Columbus on a autumnal Saturday afternoon, and have enough suspects in a day to make their quota for the whole year.  Actual marijuana seizures could be infinitesimally small, but they could make the nut just on the DUI cases they pick up incidentally.

This isn't the whole story. If the cops actually thought that the car was carrying weed, they would have found some better probable cause. If the stop gets thrown out, then so does the arrest.
