Your favorite cartoons of all time
Thought about this as I was posting on a thread started by Fearless Leader. I'm sure I'll think of others, but here goes for now:
Bugs Bunny. Funnier now than when I was a kid. Now I know why my Dad would sit and guffaw (look it up) while the kids were watching it.
The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Speaking of "Fearless Leader". Sarcastic, witty, classic characters. The "side shows" were fabulous, too.
Johnny Quest. A little sci-fi, a little video-game-ish stuff, and always cool weapons Dr. Quest would come up with. Had to have PF Flyers sneakers because that's what Johnny wore.
Popeye. Before my time but caught the re-runs while in college. Some of the best lines came when Popeye was muttering under his breath.
Tied for 5th:
South Park. May be a classic one day. Beavis and Butt-Head. Sadly, I am on their same maturity level. Ren and Stimpy. Kinda the same theme here.

Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry, Scooby Doo. There are no good cartoons on at all these days.

Old Looney Tunes. They have new ones new that are terrible. Nothing better then Yosemite Sam and Bugs going at it.

Re: Your favorite cartoons of all time
Any of the Warner Brothers Cartoons (Bugs, Daffy, Porky, et.al.)
Any of the Jay Ward Cartoons (Bullwinkle, Dudley DoRight, Super Chicken)
They all had some subversive, hidden and double entendre type humor so the adults could watch with their kids and still get a laugh out of them. I'm amazed at how much of the stuff went right over my head as a child because today those are the funniest parts.
Oh, and Tennessee Tuxedo, Tooter and Mr. Wizard, Commander McBragg.

Re: Your favorite cartoons of all time
All fine selections, but the first 8 years or so of The Simpsons is tops IMHO.
Don't blame me, I voted for Pat Paulsen.

There are no good "kids" cartoons anymore. When my daughter was little, we'd watch the old ones.

Re: Your favorite cartoons of all time
Transformers, especially the animated movie. Watching some of your favorite autobots die as a kid had a big impact.
Beavis & Butthead. Still love it to this day. Especially last season when they were ripping on Jersey Shore clips. Too bad MTV didn't make a follow up season.
