Seinfeld just for something that I can turn on at any time and be entertained....even if I've already seen every episode 5 times.

Some numbskull kids, instead of drawing with those crayons, reportedly ate them. Sitting/standing in front of those old black-and-white, cathode-ray TV screens they also got an unhealthy dose of electromagnetic radiation. If that were happening today the lawsuits would be stupendous. My god, I had my five picked out and then started reading all the threads and would say "Oh yeah, forgot about that one! Oooh-ooh, that's another one, and so on......So many to pare down to a measly five (course when you grew up in the 60's, you watched a lot more TV than most people on this board).

Sanford and son-top three in the 70s
MASH-THEE best in the late 70s early 80's.
Dukes of Hazzard-Huge and great in the 80s

Way back in the day CBS aired Mash, Mary Tyler Moore and Bob Newhart one after the other. For new comedies I like "New Girl."
