Sam AmicoWhile the Cavs have yet to express interest in Leandro Barbosa (as far as we know), several sources close to the free agent guard say he'd definitely consider Cleveland as a real option. More in my blog: http://fanmonster.com/...

Amico batting .000 this summer.
Is he just throwing stuff out there?
Also, Barbosa plays no defense...

Also, Barbosa plays no defense... Well, to be fair, he did say the Cavs have not expressed any interest.
Cleveland Sports Teams rule - but not right now.

Also, Barbosa plays no defense... My bad....I thought Barbosa was kniown as a pretty decent and good defender. Am I wrong?

Am I wrong? --------------------------------------------- No he does have a solid game for a guy coming off the bench, and he would be a solid pick up, but some people live in the video game world where they feel since they can stack their line up on the gaming console it can be done in real life too.. He is a solid player!!

Spotty outside shooter and not a true PG. Good off the bench, to take advantage of match ups.

He's a solid 6th man, nothing more. And for the likely cost, I'd rather take a flier on Michael Redd instead as he'd cost less and could likely give you the 8 or so ppg off the bench that Barbosa could for a fraction of the price.

Barbosa shot better than Redd last season - especially from the 3pt line. Redd's old and broken down. But the point is, you're advocating that they sign a SG instead of a PG when it's a PG they're looking to sign. How does that make sense?

Barbosa is as much a PG as Daniel Gibson has been for us. Barbosa is an undersized SG plain and simple.
