The months of August and September are looking to be real harbingers.

The Tribe starts a six game stretch against div rivals  CSox and Tigers Aug 16th thru Aug 21st
Very important stretch of away games there obviously.

Immediately following  this they come home for a 10 game stretch , Seattle 4 games, KC 3 games, and Oakland 3 games. If they keep things close over over the next week, the division title could rest on how well they do during this up-coming 10 game home-stand against less than stellar opponents.

The Tigers last 10 games of august are in order 4 away games against the Rays, 3 against the Twins and 3 against the Royals.

In september we face the Tigers 6 more times including a 3 game set in Detroit that concludes the regular season. Things hopefully are settled in the Tribes favor before  that series.

There is a gleam men.

We are the dangerous team IMO. Out of the three teams we are the team that could roll off 16 out of 20. We also are the most likely to go 6 and 14.

IMO Detroit is in trouble.....Either we get hot and beat em or the Sox slowly run them down. I'm just not sold on Detroit right now.

I think we have caught our second wind.

At some point, the Indians will need to go on a long winning streak, 7 or 8 games, to win the division. Playing .500 ball is keeping them in it, but it won't be enough for the playoffs. Ideally, they take 2 of 3 from CHW and DET then rip off some wins at home against inferior teams.

They have won 6 out of last 10.  That is better than .500 . Things are looking good for taking this key series from the Sox. Don't want to jinx it , but its looking very good. Players are getting healthy too. Hope Pronk can break out of this mini slump soon.

Just need to keep winning each series.  Will win the division if that happens.  If Carmona continues as he has the past month, you have 4 starters who you have to feel give you a legitimate shot at winning every time out, and Huff has looked good as a #5.

We made Chicago look flat....if not for the seven blown calls Tuesday and the terrible strike zone of this crew throughout the series we would have swept them in a dominating fashion.

Detroit better bring their lunch. Lots of fun...that's for sure.
