Pretty good stuff, especially with the budget he had to work with. Spit-Fire was one of my favorite WWII planes The dog-fight scenes were something you'd think came out of Hollywood. And on a side note, it sure is nice having a 55" Hi-Def TV hooked up to the net.

Interesting info on how the Spitfire got its name....

looks cool. . . in the trailer, it shows them fighting the ME 262; I would be interested in learning how historically accurate that is. my recall from reading history is that only a few ME 262's were brought into action, and only during the last few months of the war. 600MPH plane. We had nothing like it - P 51 D Mustang with the Merlin engine was a 400MPH plane. had hitler developed them earlier, instead of concentrating on panzers and the atlantic fortress, who knows?

One of the first ME-262s shot down by allied fighters was by a Tuskeegee airman. Usually what allied fighter pilots would do was hang around air strips where the 262's were stationed and jump them as they were taking off or landing. Also if the 262 would offer to fight a P-51 they would likely be shot down because a 262 couldn't dogfight with a P-51 or similar fighter, but with a 100 MPH advantage in speed there was no reason for them to do so.

Hitler first wante the 262 converted to an attack bomber then finally a fighter. One of the things the Germans did was build great machines that were so complicated they could not be produced fast enough or stay in the field long enough to be truly effective. The allies stocked up on one tank (the sherman) which was no match for the Panther, King Tiger, Tiger or the T-34 (which was designed by an american but turned down in the U.S. so he sold it to the Russians) in a fight. But we produced so many and they were much more reliable than the German tanks that they could out manuever or just plain overwhelm them with numbers.
Also ME 262 is a killer song by the "Blue Oyster Cult.....Hitler's on the phone from Berlin.."
Also liked the film. The cgi was done in a way that the plane manuvering looked real.
