Different era, different goals for cars, but hey you're right, there were 3 Chevy's that were total duds that were named "COTY".

You don't have to believe me oc, you just have to trust me, in the height of the muscle car era the 1969.5 Road Runner was the epitome of the Car of the Year (it was the Plymouth, identical duplicate of the Super Bee).

My father in law is 3/4 of the way through rebuilding a 73 Road Runner. I always thought they were funky (as well as most of the dodge brands with few exceptions) but it has really grown on me. Funny story about the RR he has owned it for nearly 40 years after about 5 years the factory power window motor went bad. He took it to the dealer to get a new motor and the guy behind the counter argued with him for 10 minuets about it really have factory power windows. He finally got sick of fighting with the guy and said" Its in the parking lot want see." The parts guy took one look at it and said "Holy **** a 73' with factory power windows." Any way the guy had to call Detroit to find a motor he got it about a month later. Damn switches for the windows are the size of ping pong paddles.
