Re: Leroy Hoard suffering from memory loss, depression
Sucks to hear. I would hope for his sake that marijuana could take the edge off.
I have had over a dozen concussions in my life... some really bad ones. Last accident had brain bleeding in 3 spots and spend 8 days in the hospital.
I have memory and vision issues... and am very easily aggravated by stupid things. I would gather these retired NFL players had 10x the amount of brain sloshing I had in my life. (At least that’s what I keep telling myself.) i really feel bad for them man... my minor issues are probably nothing compared to theirs.
I could be suave... but how many crude guys do you know?

Re: Leroy Hoard suffering from memory loss, depression
Memory loss is tough, especially on the families. My mom is in a nursing home, all buzzed out on the damn geriatric medication. Her short term memory has been gone for couple years now. Her memories are all back in time ...but at least they are happy memories. We used to correct her when she talked about a close relative as if she just saw them, when in fact most all of them are actually gone now. Now we just go along with it with additional fond memory replies. She smiles and that's good.

Some of the bad ones were from: Drilled in head with an aluminum bat (baseball). Fell off roof. Hit by car. Shot in the head. (for real). Motorcycle accident. Jumped by 3 guys and beaten unconscious. (that was the last one).
I could be suave... but how many crude guys do you know?

Ironic that he leans on Buckeyes for support and not his Michigan brothers.
