drink a bud.

what do you mean one concert a year?

Even Modell, for all his meddling, wanted to win. He just didn't have the $.

Here, we have the $, so no excuse.

That being said, I do understand Brexkl's point about not blowing the cap.

This is the worst regime since 1990.

"This is the worst regime since 1990."

-- Since you said this, as an outsider who doesn't know the Cleveland market, are there possible Cleveland-centric interests that might be open to acquiring the Browns?

If a change does need to be made at some point, wouldn't it be best to start at the top and really change the landscape in a good way? I don't know if this is possible, but the Lerner Era seems to have been on the pathway to hell in many cases. You know, paved with good intentions. The Holmgren-led approach may not work.

If Randy really is the "fan" he's reported to be, wouldn't he at some point be willing to have another interest take over and try to win? Or are there Lerner Trust issues that complicate things?

To me, the ideal would be for Cleveland to take over the team and run it in an effective manner that puts fans and winning before players and "protection". But, of course, the CBA and the other owners and the union stand in the way.

So, given what passes for reality at this point, is there another Cleveland interest that could take over from the Lerners and give it a shot?
