Regarding building a WCO team, Bill Walsh said essentially that "you get everything else in place, THEN you get your WR's"?  I think he would have approved of this Browns off-season.

Of course we don't know how much better the team will be until we see how much the draft picks can contribute as rookies, but clearly five areas of the team have been improved: RB, QB, OL, DL, and linebacker. Grossi didn't mention the return of Marcus Bedard from injury, so that's a wild card. The four new DLs (Parker, Rucker, Winn, and Hughes) are really going to help keep the starters fresh and productive.

He also didn't mention the addition of an experienced offensive coordinator and a full off-season to integrate the new players. The Browns plan an intensive tutoring process for Brandon Weeden, something that was not possible with McCoy last year, unfortunately.

The only loss I see among players who got a lot of playing time are Mike Adams and Tony Pashos, plus Fujita's three game suspension. Not much lost and a whole lot gained. Can't wait for training camp.

-- As has been said many, many times, Walsh may not have invented the WCO, but he had lots of success with it and made some good changes to it. And Holmgren started out under Walsh. And the guys in place for the Browns are WCO guys. So.

The WCO has a good track record- if it's coached well and if the right players are put in place. We might be doing a good job of building a WCO team.

Now is the pressure more on the coaches than the FO?
