I mean, I'm pumped up and I don't even like Weeden that much... this Kool-Aid is AWESOME! :D

Mine's got Tequila, how about you?

Seriously, we seriously improved the team.  We filled the needs.  Not exactly with the names I would have used or the spots I would have got them at, but every need I would have filled we filled.  We took a Back Up where we could have got a Starter (the DT) but that Back Up is at one position where we needed it most and may prove to be even more valuable than another starter.  We really sucked much worse than usual when Taylor or Rubin needed a break, this fixes that.

Yes!  Lack of depth at D-tackle showed its ugly head in Nov.-Dec.

Two OL picks.  One sits in at RT, the other can be either Guard or RT, so he pushes both our current Guards.  This is awesome!  I know our OGs were bad last year, but they improved over the season, so now we either replace one or have a legit back up for both.  Depth is crucial, see what happened with injuries last year!

AMEN Brother!

Then grabbing a falling Billy Winn.  We get his mind right and he could be the RDE we really need.  If not, so what!  He's a 7th Round Pick!  Great Risk/Reward factor there!  Potential to be a viable and productive starter.  Not long ago he was a 1st Round Grade.  People crying that we took a solid run stopper at #87 as a Reach and we net a projected 1st in the 7th.  I call that a fair trade.

Yes.......

Sure, we didn't get the WR we wanted.  We didn't even get Joe Adams.  But this kid has 4.36 speed.  He's going to blow the cover off.  This is going to help everyone.  Even if the kid gets 3 catches a game, it still is going to help the team overall.

And we have a QB who can get the ball down field w/o a running start!  biggrin

The FO knows how they WANT to play Football.  Now they are putting in pieces to play the game that way.  This is a design.  They didn't get BPA at every step, because at some steps the Best Player didn't fit what we want to do here.  We had a frame work, they added to what we had and they actually did a very good job doing it.

Yes.....

Are there individual names I would have liked to have seen instead?  Absolutely!  But when taking a critical eye to this Draft I can actually see how this team is so much better already than it was before, and how each pick makes the previous pick fit that much better and makes the solid pieces we already had that much more effective.

Yes.....

Seriously, standing ovation on this one.  Joe Thomas and Alex Mack don't just look like two Pro Bowlers getting paid a ton of money to wallow in filth now, they look like two Pro Bowl Vets that are going to lead the best OL in the AFC for the next 5-8 Years with these additions.  (Schwartz should be legit, Trent should help make Luavo, Pinkston or the other Rookie look legit until they become legit or we get sweet FA OGs here).

Yes...... (God I'm getting tired of writing this)

And, most importantly to all of us, I can't WAIT for Madden to release!  No Browns on the Cover, Please!  I just want to pop it in, see which QB is rated higher, and take this Defense and Richardson for a Spin!

Damn I feel old.  tongue
