Thanks for the great effort. I never understood why this information is not part of tOBR official site. Having to sort through a lot of info to get to all of our draft picks and if you happen to miss the draft like I usually do, it's hard to find a place that shows ALL the picks we took in one place Those little pull down menus up top - "Team Info" or "NFL Draft" would have been a good place to put this info. I can't remember them actually doing this for any draft so it's not like I'm missing something that was ever there. The information is here but I'm too lazy to sort through it all. I want instant gratification, damn it.

Supp Bone,
Yeah I remember the old days. I've been here in one way or another since the beginning. I don't spent too much time on the internet anymore. Life's too short and all.

My only bitch and it's not a major one is the #87 Cincinnati DT John Hughes pick. They must have a reason for taking him here that I'm not seeing.

"Thanks for the great effort. I never understood why this information is not part of tOBR official site."

-- Isn't it odd that sometimes to get really good and intelligently organized information you have to do it yourself or rely on good old word of mouth?

You would think that people for whom it's a job would be more in tune with what people think and would also be more honest and forthright.  Or be... reassigned.

Ah well.

"I don't spent too much time on the internet anymore. Life's too short and all."

-- That comment is actually interesting.

For some, the internet- or other electronic things- has become "life" in many ways.

One thing that strikes me is that the spread of infomation has one flaw: It doesn't actually do anything. It tells you about stuff, it can help organize stuff. But it doesn't do anything. That requires something else. And life- real life- goes on outside of the internet.

Maybe it's a good thing that the real world is left to those who enjoy it while the others are away in rooms lost in an electronic maze.

If your only draft bitch is about Hughes, then you must be a happy man. For me, they are all Browns who will take us to the Super Bowl. Uh, until further notice.

"One thing that strikes me is that the spread of infomation has one flaw:"

For me it has another flaw. If it is good information, it is considered "premium content" and you have to pay for it.

-- Well, you have a point. But information can be like any other product and can be charged for. If it's a bad product, you can always stop payment or look elsewhere. A balancing act at times.

And in the "age of information", information can often be found outside of normal, costly means. That can be a challenge and hassle, but still.

Many of the normal, costly means have learned things the hard way.

I'm as old school as you can probably be and I still remember the Telnet days. The internet at its inception, if you could put your finger on such a thing, was intended to be the free exchange of information sans any advertising or exploitation for a buck. I know times have changed, I'm too old to change my opinion, and I'm on the outside looking in now as a casual observer.

It still amazes me to see kids today on their smartphones. From the minute they wake up till they fall asleep, the real world is only ambient background noise to their texting, web surfing, and phone conversations. Welcome to the Matrix Mr. Anderson indeed.

"The internet at its inception, if you could put your finger on such a thing, was intended to be the free exchange of information sans any advertising or exploitation for a buck."

-- Like many new things, I was late to the internet. But my initial response seems to have been somewhat valid.

When it was first mentioned to me, I said something like: Oh, it'll just be a way to make money. Now on many levels that seems to be how it's devolving. At least, devolving to me.

The more you control something, the more you can pollute it. You can hate abuses, but trying to take them away can often make things worse.

Abuses of capitalism can be shown, but a free-market of any sort and personal decision-making is still better than anything else.

Honesty and reality tends to better than any created thing- no matter how good the credentials of the creator.

Uh, what this has to do with the Browns is, uh, obvious.
