Tom Brady turns 35 before this season
Manning will be 36
Breese will be 33 by the SB

Granted those are the elite of the elite.  I'm not saying Weeden will be those guys.  The point is that QBs can play at the highest possible level thru their mid 30s now.
LBS, there is always hope and I hope Weeden is a trailblazer, but do you have an example of an elite QB or even a good solid QB who didn't hone his skills on the football field in his teens and early twenties and instead played baseball?

Tom Brady didn't get game time at Michigan, but he did spend his high school and college years working and developing his game.  As a late bloomer, he made a quantum leap with BB.  You know the rest.  How does this meet your premise?
