It seemed every time a new GM/HC walks into the job, they were stuck with a non productive QB and started looking for the next non productive QB.

Hopefully, Chud and Norv Turner know enough about a productive or potential productive QB that this situation will get fixed.

Now, we have many experts on many subjects regarding the Cleveland Browns on this forum.  This is the Pure Football Forum and we know our experts.

All our experts have to agree, especially after watching the Super Bowl on Sunday, that the NFL game has chanced and the starting QB has to have a big arm.  The passing windows are smaller and the defensive secondary athletes are bigger, stronger and faster.

So, when we discuss the future starting QB for the Cleveland Browns you can forget the Flynn, McCoy, Alex Smith and others.  Pop gun arms and adequate arms might have been good enogh in the 70's, 80's & 90's.  If you want an experienced QB to hold the fort until they find that guy, why not keep Brandon Weeden and actually develop him with Norv and Chud.  They might find his replacement in this draft.

Manual, Florida State, might be a candidate to develop.  The idea that next year's draft in 2014 might have better candidates.

There is no doubt that Chud and Turner are looking at all the film/videos and are going to attend all the workouts and Indy Combine.  If there is a guy they want and they see him as the guy they either take him at six, trade back or see him as a developmental player and take him in the third or fourth round.

The off season now has officially started.  The good conversations begin.

The only problem with Manuel from Florida Sate who I like BTW is thsat some fool will pick him in the first round .

He has a third round NFL QB skillset right now , with loads of raw talent , we have Weeds , so there is no need to reach like some others will do to make a lateral move for a more athletic QB with less of a fastball.

and no pro experience.
