SoulDawg Come on. Its better to portray yourself as eccentric than high. The dude was most likley tripping, which would explain how he played in the Championship game too. Although, Alien abduction could be another possible reason.

Although, Alien abduction could be another possible reason. SD: Defintely played like a victim of an out of body experience. The shock was just to much for him , yeah thats it . Best twit of the day however , " when he finds his missing girlfriend , then he should start the search for the missing Notre Dame defense " Worst big game performance since Troy Smith waddled his 25 lb over weight ass out their like a Christmas turkey while getting carved by the Gators . Missed three tackles for loss , dropped a pick and was manhandled like a pork chop when he wasn't flailing at wind after closing his eyes and whiffing on plays right in front of him . Mad dog in a meat mkt channels Denny McClain, Art Schlister. SoulDawg

C'mon guys. If ur Morman & can't have sex, what's the point of having a real GF in college anyway? Plus it does change him as a player.
I do worry about his ability to read screens & misdirection tho.

Good call. The Bizarro Jim McMahon.
If I were his agent I'd have Dr Pepper on the phone for an endorsement deal.

Lumpy wrote: Apparently "deadspin" found out the girlfriend who died part is fake? "Fake"...is too kind; a hoax is more likely! What a great indictment of the media; a highly known public person has THREE YEARS of "fantasy...whatever";and the ENTIRE drama is aided and abetted by the most influential, professional JOURNALISM organizations and individuals ON THE ENTIRE BLUE MARBLE?? ESPN, CNBN, ABC, CBS, FOX, The Times, The Washington Post, and every other credible source of "news"...on the planet were duped and we only found out that the "story of Manti' might be totally made up fantasy...?? Manti might be extremely gullible...but aren't there any JOURNALISTS ANYWHERE who bother to find out if that "heartwarming story of lost love"...has any truth in fact, over a span of THREE YEARS?? What else might we all believe ...just because the segment of our society that purports to ensure that we enjoy our "first amendment rights" has COMPLETELY FAILED to even check one basic fact...regarding a hoax that has been perpetrated by a public person on TV, in print and on the Internet for THREE YEARS? Hell...it is the INTERNET that exposed the story!! And everybody knows (they do don't they!?) that you can't believe ANYTHING you read on the internet because none of that "tripe" is "professionally vetted??" Sounds like JOURNALISM is now officially a synonym for REALITY TV!

Healthy imaginary families are at least as much work as imaginary girlfriends with Leukemia. Plus all the time spent on horrible, genocidial killings and what not.

SD: It pains me to say it but i have to come correct , you was right on that rascal . Peeps will have to be fed valium and stats while he's running around in shorts at the combine to live down that sleep walk . The man i thought I saw vs Oklahoma doesn't go out like that . However the real Manti got exposed for what he is , a follower but not a bonafide Bell cow leader just a gog on a decent team , but wihout the passion and never say die leadership quotient that seperates the good from the Elite . The guy I thought I had discovered would have been bustin up plays like a truck out of control , hitting anything that moved regardless of score . He would have made those three tackles for loss and snatched that pick in the NCAA Superbowl. That sucka was looking for a hole to climb into and hide , so credit that big defensive line for keeping him clean all year allowing him to star , because its evident his success was based on whupping talent which couldn't get beyond them to the second level . Once they did I knew I would be faced with the disgusting acknowledgement , that you were correct when you said the suspect competition had made him look better than he was . Hock spit pitoooie . Lumpy wrote: That's big of you to admit to the mistake Soul. Happens all the time to the best of us. SD: Kid had it going on , heisman momentum , 7 interceptions , wining team , and he made plays in big games , but in the biggest of the biggest , when you had to play your best , he showed up small . Now maybe he was preocupied with all this junk , or maybe he got layed all weekend and wa drained or his jock strap suddenly got too big for him when his balls shrank down to BB's , in the end it doesn't matter . Its a critical data point which can't be ignored , just as Troy Smith was made to look average when he faced legit NFL type speed you have to pass at the 6th spot overall because the value is not there . VS NFL line talent he was engulfed and destroyed. If he runs a 4.8 4.9 in the combine instead of 4.5 4.6 , on the heels of that performance you then question if he's an everydown backer at that level and a liability in coverage ,and that stock will drop and we 'll scoop a cheapie , that we maybe able to develop, without the high priced fair. It is what it is , we're usually not this lucky to find out the hickies until we draft em and get stuck with them. Nas jinxed Burfict , and clipped the Man..Tie SoulDawg

Te'O-Bentley, Boyer, Hambrick, Rudd.
A bit small, undersized and ok, but not quick enough to be a MLB in a tampa-2 and not thumper-ish enough to be a Ray Ray or Willis.

I'm not sure which way to swing with the reports out there. All I know is we don't want to swing during the draft...maybe late, late round.
