If the front office is building a bad reputation throughout the league and is showing signs of inflexibility it will be a good thing for fans to understand it so they can target the front office as a place in need of change when things go sour again.
The idea of this being a non-issue is only true if it's not correct. If it's correct it is certainly an issue going forward and fans should care.
Besides which this is a football forum. People care about the front office that runs the football team.
