Did he really make all the personnel decisions? I thought Belichick did that.
As I recall, the Browns steadily improved from 1992-1996, and had some pretty decent personnel in place when they moved to Baltimore, where they did very well the first five years.
However, he has been out of football for a while, and there's a reason nobody wanted to hire him the last five years or so.
