who the #*($ shoots kids?  not like shooting adults is great, but KIDS? REALLY???????

Puts sports into perspective when you can't even let your kids go to school anymore with out fear.

This is so senseless and tragic. As a parent, this is my worst nightmare. My prayers go out to the loved ones of the deceased.

I just heard the number of dead could be close to 30.  Unbelieveable.

Prayers have too little value...

....... when shooters are on the loose.

This is not crazy. It's uncivilized when we can't protect children and innocent people from predators. We live in a jungle where life has less value than cold blue steel, brass, and lead.

Common thread

Whats the one common thread between all these horrific shootings over the years??

Columbine, CO
Littleton, CO
Virginia Tech
Connecticut

Guns!!!!

Hmmm, maybe its time to abolish that stupid right to bear arms.

THIS. In Japan you must pass two classes, a written test, a mental test, a drug test, and a background check in order to get an air rifle.

Or...maybe we need to do a better job at identifying the mentally ill/disturbed so they don't unleash their anger, sickness, or whatever else you want to call it on the rest of society.  Why is it mental health is not looked at in the same light as physical health?  Everything is brain related so I would think mental health should be of the utmost of importance.  There is such a stigma attached to mental health and it's even billed separately with most insurances.

Many, many, many more

people die from crappy driving than guns every year. It's not that close.

"I think Pullman is a bunch of crap. It's a place where you can go and have a good time, as far as there being a lot of drunk people... I'd never take a trip there, even if they strangled me. I'd die first." - Andre DeSaussure

Horrible.  Makes me sick, having little kids of my own.  Mental illness and guns are a bad mix.  Need to do something. frownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrownfrown

Yale I respect you a great deal but I am going to disagree with you on this one. A cars intent is to get you from one point to another. A automatic weapon has quite another intent.
