Tired of Watching KU Hack, No Call, and Then a Breakaway Layup
It happened when they were down against Purdue, against NC State, and now. Against the ropes, Self must instruct them to hack away as it won't get called, then KU breaks free for a layup, a slam, or a foul and a chance at two shots. Hard to watch.

A Big 12 payout splits up with other schools in the conference. Better than the big 10 and Neb getting more money!

It's probably a pretty good calcualted risk, on Self's part, if he in fact told them to do that. Part of coaching strategy is assessing ref foul calling tendencies during the particular game, as well as ref tendencies in specific scenarios, such as late in the game when a team is applying pressure. Some refs, get caught up in the moment late, or else decide to "let the teams play and decide it" late, and swallow their whistles, especially when hard pressure is being applied by the defense. It seems sometimes that if there is a lot of movement and aggression by numerous defenders, then the refs can't follow or keep up with all of the potential fouls, such that they end up calling none of them. On the other hand, if a defense is playing a really controlled style, without a lot of of fouling, but then there is an isolation situation, where a defensive player, commits a marginal touch foul, they will often call that foul.

Good win for KU. I hope OU will be back in the type of form they were in the early 2000s sometime. Without the violations of course.

Personally, I can say with zero reservation whatsoever, to HECK with the money. I feel dirty beyond belief saying this because I can't stand Calipari, but Monday night, it's Go Wildcats. around my house.

I believe Coach Kruger will have OU back soon. He has a good class coming in next season, is in on some great state talent for the 13 class & is known for doing it the right way, (no NCAA violations/investigations).

The 7 footer almost cost the game for the Jardbirds with the travel and then being slow afoot and not getting that rebound on the baseline. Glad to see Robinson play well and have success. Go Jayhawks!

Glad to see Robinson play well and have success. Go Jayhawks! I think that was a bogus traveling call and I belive both announcers indicated they thought the same thing on the replay. On the free throw, it came off the backboard so hard it hit the shooter in the thands, don't know how anyone could have gottten that rebound at the base line.
