Is his little bro at camp? You fig if he wanted and offer from OU he'd be trying to earn one and not live off his bro

We won't. Not being a downer, just a realist. He wants his little bro Max to get a scholarship offer wherever he goes. Unfortunately, little bro is not good enough to warrant OU giving a scholarship. Louisville and UCLA are willing to throw a scholarship at Max to get Josh. We are not.

C'est la vie.

Re: Josh Wariboko

i agree with Soonerfrog.  in fact, OU fans shouldn't want a guy on their team if it requires succumbing to his demands for a scholarship for a sibling who apparantly isn't good enough to merit one on his own talents...Let JW go to UCLA with his little brother----as soon as JW finishes his elgibility, little bro will be jettisoned by the UCLA coaches.....it happened at aTM with the Joeckel brothers and has happened elsewhere........hopefully OU has moved on to other prospects that don't come with price tag.

Re: Josh Wariboko

Probably in the minority on this, but have no issue with the Wariboko brothers wanting to play together at the same school.  Clearly, Josh should never have given a verbal commitment to OU in the first place.  But, that has been fixed and imo he shouldn't be criticized for his actions.

Not saying OU should offer a package deal....just saying if they want to pursue schools that will offer both of them, I have no issue with it at all.  Would much rather have it known now than later.

I say give into the demands,he is a very high rated player and who knows his brother could develop into a good player as well. I bet if AD would have demanded a scholarship for his brother they would have given him and his mom one.

Re: Josh Wariboko

I know of a scenario from many years back when Switzer was coaching OU. Larry Lacewell was willing to cop a deal with 3 players from the same high school team for the sole purpose of landing their star RB. The deal fell through because it wasn't what the players wanted to do. One went to OU, one went to OSU, and the star RB went to ut. He didn't really pan out anyway though he did score a cheap td on us one year. ..  In general I agree with you and don't want to see anything like this get started, but then I'm not sure whether each scenario needs to be looked at individually and decisions based on what is really in the best interest of the program. What I don't like is when a player believes that they are good enough to be making demands on the program when we'd be better off having a player come to OU because that's what he really wants and not because he can gain personally from it other than what he earns from playing for OU. If Wariboko doesn't truly want to be a Sooner then I say adios..

No Max at camp equals no Wariboko at OU. Writing has been on the while for some time.

Josh was at the Rivals challenge, and OU doesn't seem to want Max.  Gotta move on
