Re: Stills 40 time
He said after the 2012 winter conditioning tests that his goal was to run in the low 4.3s.

RE: Stills 40 time
Not saying he will ever approach his numbers in the NFL, but his measurables are very similar to Tory Holt.

RE: Stills 40 time
No surprise.
On-campus, he's been right with Peterson, Mark Bradley, Eric Bassey, Antonio Perkins, as far as fastest Sooners of the past 15 years.

Re: Stills 40 time
I think this puts him into ROUND #2.
If he had better hands, that time might get him into Round #1

I didn't think he was that fast. Great job Kenny.

Interesting thought, Mr. Heyward-Bey
You might be bigger, faster and stronger - but you will not out work me - ZRA

RE: Stills 40 time
i'd say i more faith in Kenny catching the ball than heyward-bey...kenny can have great hands when he's mentally there. thats what he need to avoid, those mental lapses. dhb really could never catch the ball very well. and i agree that this should put him in the 2nd round at the latest.

RE: Stills 40 time
AND BC4L's picture demonstrates theres more to the position than just catching the ball(obviously job 1). how many WRs would have made that play?

RE: Stills 40 time
Hopefully it solidifies a third. His size is still a knock on him and comparable players, ie. Chris Givens, go in that 3-4 range. Should go behind Hopkins, Allen, Austin, Patterson, Rogers, Hunter, Patton, Williams and Woods at the very least. 10th or later WR selected won't have him in the second. Someone could get good value in Stills, just like STL did with Givens last year in the 4th.

RE: Stills 40 time
Kenny's attitude makes up for the difference in size, confident and cocky. I think he will be great in the NFL.

Re: Stills 40 time
From his NFL.com Profile page:
Weaknesses Lacks great size for the position. Doesn't appear to have elite speed. Not overly physical. Bigger, physical corners will give him issues, especially at the line. Concentration lapses, will drop easy passes. Maturity will be in question due to off-the-field incidents.

Re: Stills 40 time
I think Kenny's hands are very good, just a few mental lapses, happens to everybody. His problem, which didn't happen often but enough to notice, was his unwillingness to make the tough catch in traffic (i.e. alligator arms). This just won't be tolerated in the NFL, either you give up your body, or they will find someone else to do it. QBs won't trust a guy like that, either.
With the wimpification of the NFL ongoing, this may work in Kenny's advantage for the future, as it is likely he won't see the monster hits that WRs have felt prior to the rule changes.
Overall though, he has potential to put up some good numbers in the NFL, and I wouldn't bet against him just yet. Like most 1st year WRs in the NFL, he'll struggle, but by year 2 or 3, it might happen for him.
