TE Coach
Well its obvious Bob Stoops reads this forums. I made a similar voting thread for the DL coach, and the Sooner fans overwhelmingly wanted Jerry Montgomery, looks like Bob Stoops answered, now time for the last position.
Lets see who the Ou fans want as their TE/FB coach.
Who do the Sooner fans want coaching the TE/FB's?

Bob took Heupel from his own brother, so that comment makes no sense.

Re: TE Coach
I don't know enough about most of those guys to have an opinion.... just cross Mangino and Long off, and I suppose any of the others would be ok. If the Houston guy is a good coach and could help with recruiting the Houston area, that one might be an interesting choice.... lot of if's, maybe's and such in that choice though

Re: TE Coach
Maybe the question should be who will be the special teams coach and oh yes, he'll coach TE's too.

What about Joe Jon Finley? Is he being considered?

Re: TE Coach
Brad Davis Or Sherrone Moore seem like good candidates if the position is te coach. Nevada coach is also good. Te's have been productive there for awhile. Current Medical Student.
NOTE TO ANYONE ON THIS BOARD: Spaceman is an aggie fan that has gone so far as to pose as an OU fan. He bashes players, coaches, and the conference OU plays in. Please do not respond. Soonerman2077 is another well known troll.

Bob Stoops is obviously going after coaches that know how to recruit. Yeah, that's kind of what I expected. He only has one yr. as a GA I think.

Re: TE Coach
I was a big fan of Joe Jon and would love to see him return to OU but have my doubts he'll be the one for this opening. Maybe another day though.. jakebrakes wrote:

Re: TE Coach
Stoops will hire the best recruiter.
OU hasn’t done a great job recruiting the Houston area considering the amount of talent there is in the area. Hiring the guy from Houston might not be a bad idea?
At OU all it takes is the right leadership to put the championship recipe together.

RE: TE Coach
I vote for Christian. He can coach TEs and ST. I hear he's another dynamic young coach/recruiter, but I don't really know much about him. IF that is true, I think that's what we need more of. Youth, energy, recruiting, and he can coach ST as well. Double bonus.

Lets see who the Ou fans want as their TE/FB coach. How about Hayes? Ten years coaching in the NFL. That is a recruiting tool by itself. He's been bringing along a guy named Gresham, so he's familiar with the caliber of the OU program. All the new hires don't have to be youngsters. This guy could also really speak to recruits who have realistic hopes of the NFL.

Re: TE Coach
has OU ever had a special teams coach since Stoops has been here? for Stoops to hire one now wouldn't that be a pretty big change in the way he does things?

RE: TE Coach
Christian can coach TE and special teams and he's supposed to be a good recruiter. What's not to like? I don't see Hayes leaving the NFL to come back to OU for the same position he left 10 yrs ago. Seems like a step back to me. Why would he do that?
