RE: Stoops' strongly considering Jerry Montgomery

Michigan has 4 or 5 guys making 212k. Them matching an OU offer could cost them quite a bit.

Dream on. ferns wants to attend Michigan, and Montgomery would not be his position coach either.

No need to be a twat about a benign comment.

Re: Stoops' strongly considering Jerry Montgomery

Ferns won't be going anywhere but Michigan, Fern's campaign.  Now Mone is another story.  He is a stud 2014 DL out of Utah and Montgomery did recruit him.  That being said, I will be surprised if he tries to go after Mone.  No reason to burn bridges when you have the whole state of Texas to pillage.

With all the talk of money and program prestige I think this came down to the Iowa Connection and what that means for his future.  Congrats you guys got a helluva recruiter.

So it sounds like he is indeed coming to OU! Hope he is really good cause DL is the one area that we need the most help with.

Congrats of Jerry. The guy can recruit that's for sure. You guys will love him. We have Mattison taking over the DL now, so I think both schools ended up A-Okay in this. Good luck to you guys this upcoming season. I lived in Minnesota and worked for the Vikings for a while and after getting to know the kind of quality guy AP is, it made me respect your program an awful lot.

I just love when fans from other programs come to OUr board and talk trash.  Really love the Mich fans that graced us with posts about it being a step backwards and that it was 99% not going to happen so we should absolutely not get OUr hopes up....lol

Backwards step?  Lateral move?  Please.

RE: Stoops' strongly considering Jerry Montgomery

Ive always watched / admired Michigan.

It is a tough pill to swallow that a team they feel is on thier level taking a coach.

I think it is slightly below, as the nunbers show - but they are one of the elites. I think Hoke puts them back in the national conversation.
