It's not A&M.
I don't know whether they would have or not.I know this, someone in the SEC is going to target Johnny Manziel and they are going to drill him into the ground.Everyone in the SEC took A&M for granted last year because they were a middle of the pack BIG12 team. They didn't like the fact that A&M had the success they had. That young man has a target on his back.I'd be surprised to see him make it through the season.

I have already predicted that Alabama spikes him into the ground like a lawn dart. If you need an example look up Terry Bradshaw against the Cleveland Browns about 1976 or so. You tube probably has an example or two.

All that is necessary for evil to triumph. Is for good men to do nothing.

Feel better?

Too be fair, sometimes you get lucky with a kid.  A&M got lucky with JM, OU got somewhat lucky with Sam Bradford.  I remember many who said he was filler only, would never start a single game at OU.

Lets suppose johnny football had a season ending injury in week 2.

No hiesman, no espn love fest, no big bama win, no cotton bowl display of humiliating OU and probably additional losses to La tech, ole miss total of 5 losses.

We probably get mastro and manning.

Aggie will probably get mizzoued in the sec for the next several years.

No $100 million stadium expansion

I know you want to reduce the recent aTm success to simply one player, Johnny M, but Johnny doesn't play defense....and that defense did a pretty good job of shutting down the OU offense.  That aTm oline blocked pretty dang well.  Receivers made good catches.  They've recruited much better lately.  Bottom line, aTm is really improving due to Sumlin and their move to the SEC......SO FAR.  Just give them credit for it and move along.  To make posts like this just reap of sour grapes.  Be better than that.  OU has owned aTm for quite awhile now.  They kicked our azzes this year, period.  If our coaches don't like the way that feels...then THEY need to step things up and get better...not hope for Johnny to break his damn ankle.

Re: Aggie minus johnny football= ???

I wonder about him making it to week 1 without getting suspended or thrown in jail, or an off the field injury.   at first I was more along the lines of he's a kid let him have some fun, but he seems to take fun to another level.... will he survive the spring and summer?

That's because those "many" were just message board nerds like us. Great players can play on bad teams and you never know about them until you see them develop in a better situation. Just like some kids look unstoppable on a great HS team and end up being like Garrett Gilbert in college. Sumlin I guess you could say was lucky that Manziel was already on campus from the Shermanator and not a guy like Stephen McGee or Jerrod Johnson to work with.
