Doesn't his play against oSu always make ya smile?  It does me!  I can say this about a lot of the guys this past season.  From RJ to TJ, and from Demontre to Millard going Bevo Bowling!  Yes, they all made my day at one time or another!  As much as I ride their lack of play at times, and as much as I sour to the Arizona lazy crap we've been noticing since the rain storm TTech game... I still love the Sooners through all that, and I do miss the days when Oklahoma media was pro Sooner and not always sour Sooner.  I will be the first to say it, the rest of nation thinks pretty ugly of us today...

 

So, what are we gonna do about it tomorrow?... and that goes for you media folk too!

I don't know where you get that "across the nation thinks ugly of us",unless you're going by recruiting.I've been all across this great nation from Hawaii to California to texas to Tennessee and I never ever got that vibe.Every team has down years.Heck Alabama had a long stretch of bad seasons.There's more than a hundred teams out there that would have loved to had a 10-3 season.We'll get better.It's just a matter of time.Hang in there my Sooner friend.boomersooner-logo.gif

Clay has really come on strong towards the latter part of the season.
I think injuries have held him ba k early on. I really hope be works hard this off season and surprise a lot of folks next year.
He will have Ross and DDW pushing him for playing time.

I remember that Trent Smith used to talk frequently about having that "Sooner Moment", wanting to make a huge play in a big game that would go down as one that wouldn't be forgotten.  Brennan Clay definitely has his Sooner Moment!!!!  I think very highly of him.  He just keeps showing up, doing his job, and goes about his business.  No drama with this kid, just a cool dude....

I remember Clay taking a horrible hit as a freshman. (Fla St. I think). To see him stick it out and become a hero was very exciting. Switzer always said that if you stay..you will play! Persistence pays off.
