Damon Williams has not seen the field. All I can say is I can see why OU fired Shipp. A school like Oklahoma should not be this Barren at the DT position. Even if D.Willams and M.Anderson were still on the team.

Agree.  Really leaves the two young guns.  Hope Russell is ready to go.

You know that I agree on the defense being a train wreck.  Outside of the DEs having the look of being a decent group, the rest is up in the air.  LBs = dumpster fire.  DTs = Dumpster fire that has been put out but flame is trying to come back.  DBs, outside of Colvin, we have no idea at this point.  Simon gone hurts.

All I can say is whoever OU brings in as the Dline coach has a **** load of work to do. Jackie Shipp left the cupboard extremely bare.

Thin on game ready players for sure. Don't have the DTs to play a 4-3 and don't have the LBs for a 3-4. Odd stack it is.

Russell signed, so unless he plans on sitting until 2014, he will be at OU.

Neither Trotter nor Emig stated Damon Williams, though Trotter said three scholarship DTs entering the spring. That would seem to imply Peterson, Wade, and Phillips as being the guys.

SS: DT Damon Williams still on OU's official roster, but I expect him to be removed soon. Confirmed he is gone as well.

Forgot about Romar. Huggins and Walker look big enough to play but obviously technique and leverage on the Dline can take some time to learn. I will say this CPatterson could work with our talent and field a decent defense.

You think? I dont. He plays "light" from the little we saw of him. IF they wanted to move him inside I'd guess he's at least 1 year away and would need to be on a new S&C regimen.
