Damon Williams is gone too.

Anderson, Simon, Williams are done.

Appears all 3 are off the team.

Our DL now has 3 returning scholarship players at DT....YIKES

We have heard rumors that Simon has been in the doghouse lately.  Anderson has spent more than his share in there along with Williams.  Williams was also on the outside looking in for PT anyway.  He had the double whammy.  In trouble and not talented enough to really push for PT.

As dumb as I think the 3-4 stuff is they may have little choice but an odd front given the lack of DT depth.

Not shocking.  They signed 4 DTs when we really only needed 2 or 3.  Williams was a real outside shot at PT anyway.  Anderson was still on the small side and could not stay out of the doghouse, how much PT would he have received anyway?

As of Sunday night Damon Williams was on the roster.

Was thinking the same.  Williams probably did not figure into the mix regardless, but the possible lack of depth might force their hands if some of the incoming guys cannot play a little right away.

Only bad news here is the number of DT's left on the team b4 the new recruits come in.

Gary Simon hasn't played a down, and you would rather have a starter you can trust on and off the field.

Damon Williams has not seen the field for OU. All I can say is I can see why OU fired Shipp. A school like Oklahoma should not be this Barren at the DT position. Even if D.Willams and M.Anderson were still on the team.

Too bad. Both Marquis and Gary were talented. Never was sold on Marquis in high school but he showed a little strength at the PA early last season. Gary had great athleticism but Stanvon will, imo, easily come in and take his spot.

Talk about youth in the secondary. It was already going to be young with Simon. Without him, obviously younger. Look for most, if not all of the freshmen to get PT this year.

Marquis was converting weight...losing fat and gaining muscle. He needed some real work coming out of high school. Was definately gaining strength.

Played last year, according to SoonerSports.com bio.

So I guess we are at 81 now with Drew apparently leaving? Any news with the backer from New Orleans? It's better to sign more EEs next year then grab anything that might be left...Simon and Anderson are disappointments for sure. I saw an outside shot for Anderson next season and more so for Simon

I forgot Trey Franks was still on the roster.

My worry is one of the three scholarship guys heading into spring has hardly been Mr. Reliable throughout his career. The defense is going to be a train wreck next year with or without these defections and no matter what the scheme is, I have resigned myself to that.
