Re: Your expectations.
8 or 9 wins, provided the team stays relatively healthy. A step back from 2012 for a stronger 2014.

Re: Your expectations.
I consider us a young team 9-10 would be nice. But I think in a year or two we will be comepeting for a NC.

Re: Your expectations.
11+ wins, conference title (outright), in the hunt for a nc. so, i would have voted between the top two choices (too bad there's quite a bit of room between 10 wins and a nc).
anything less is a disappointment.

Re: Your expectations.
I consider 7/8 wins very below average for a program the caliber of OU and a coach the caliber of Stoops, not to mention his salary.
I expect 7/8 wins.

10 wins. It is time we win a game or two we are supposed to lose.

Re: Your expectations.
I believe it is going to be real difficult to have a ten win season or better next season. The reason for this is I expect the defense to still have some problems. You can not scheme talent. The talent level on our defense does not reach the level necessary to shut down offenses which is necessary to win ten or more games. I think we will still have trouble stopping a power running game and mobile quarterbacks. I am not as concerned about the offense, but we need to be able to consistently move the ball on the ground. The offensive line, receivers, and backs should be fine, but I think we will experience some growing pains at quarterback. On defense unless there are some surprises at tackle and end we might have trouble stopping the run and putting pressure on the quarterback. Our linebackers seem to be average at best. I think it will be hard to replace Hurst, Jefferson, and Harris in the secondary. I look for the inexperience in the secondary to lead to giving up some big plays in the passing game especially if we can't put any pressure on the quarterback. We have to go to Stillwater, South Bend, Manhatten, and Ames next season so there are potentially a couple of losses in that stretch. While I would like to see it happen, I don't look for another blow out type win in Dallas. Louisiana Monroe will be a lot tougher opener than UTEP next season. Eight or nine wins would be something I would expect. Less than eight wins would be a disappointment. Eight, nine, or ten wins would be about par for the talent level on campus. I think anyone expecting a national championship caliber team is dreaming.

I expect 7/8 wins. I would think everyone would consider a 7/8 win season a very below average season as seasons go.However, losing almost the entire defensive line and bringing in new coaches,it's going to take time to get everyone on the same page.Having said that,I still believe we have as good a chance to win 10 or more games this year as any team.

Re: Your expectations.
i'll go with 10,,, 9 at the worst. 10 just seems to be nice little niche for us, probably one loss to a good team like Notre Dame and then the annual upset loss to someone not as good as we are.
the way the Big12 - 2 round robin play is set up it will be difficult for anyone to go thru the season undefeated.

Re: Your expectations.
I said below average because Stoops averages 10-3 over 14 seasons. That doesn't leave a whole lot of room to be above average. Right now, there are too many unknowns to have much certainty, good or bad. What is known is there are 11 of last year's bowl teams on the schedule which includes a road game to ND. There will be plenty of opportunities to trip up. Right now, I'm going with 9 wins.
