My guess is he ends up under performing for his SEC career.. and I look forward to it
BOOMER!!
. I always do my best and try not to dislike a kid based solely on his decision alone, no matter where they go. I also understand that for the most part, these are 18 year olds that don't know any better, and probably were not raised properly in the first place.
But eventually, if they do enough to disrespect OU, I start to dislike them and hope they fail. Completely agree... if the kid had been classy about his decision to go to ATM.. so be it.. I'd give the heat to the recruiter that failed to get him here.. but when he did what he did.. I don't need him, don't want him and do not respect him.. Aggie.. .

Hopefully this gets seen by mods/Joey and this guy gets banned for violating board rules.

I;d never wish injury on another human being. you shouldn;t either! That doesn;t mean you need to root for Manning's success. he certainly has lived up to his reputation. At this point, I think he just wants to stay relevant. EternalHyperion wrote: DeMarcoMurrayRocks wrote: Hopefully this gets seen by mods/Joey and this guy gets banned for violating board rules.

RE: Justin Manning tweets
I know I said things when I was young that I wish I could relive the moment and take back what was said, and I think most of us have had that experience. With that being said, some people have enough character and class to regret the things they have said and done which was harmful or hateful. I hope this kid falls into that caterory, but I have my doubts. He is young now with his life ahead of him. I hope he is able to avoid a big dose of karma.

I said last summer, before the season even started, that the kid was a self-entitled head case, and did not want him at OU. He keeps proving my point over and over.

It isn't at all a fair dig, especially since he is going to a university that practiced greyshirting and dropping schollies. Color me impressed with the grand hypocrisy of a kid that has absolutely zero right to criticize a program he is not a part. I don't wish him success of any kind, at any level. Didn't sound like the HS OL recruit was told.

I wonder what Alexander, Huggins, Romar, Russel, Taylor and Walker think about the whole thing. Commits that Shipp recruited. Did Shipp inform them that he won't be at OU while he was recruiting them? Are we sure that they didn't know prior to signing? Are we sure that Manning even knew what was going on at that point since he had already made his decision weeks ago? I'm hoping that they really did tell the recruits and that they were not blindsided. So far no news from the incoming recruits. Might be an indication that it was conveyed to the commits while recruiting them. It could also be the reason why we were having problems getting the commits we wanted in the beginning. Must have been a great recruiting job by Shipp. Imagine telling the recruits, I'm your main recruiter, commit to OU but I won't be there next year. They will hire another DT coach that you guys will surely get along with.

RE: Justin Manning tweets
Manning didn't want to play for Shipp, but thinks highly of him.
Bob Stoops believes highly of Shipp, but chose to move on like Manning.
Manning will be fine.
Stoops will be fine.
Shipp will be fine.

He is a kid, therefore my response is ____________________________________ .
I can say he is not a recruit anymore and this is bulletin board material from Aggie.
Any bridge he may have had to Oklahoma is hereby burned.
Highly suspect Sumlin to grab him by the ear for that.

Re: Justin Manning tweets
Manning has shown little to no maturity to date with his actions, giving every impression to all watching that he was likely going to sign with OU and then the classless hat thing. His act likely the nail in the coffin for Coach Shipp. I could not care less what young Manning thinks. If he cared so much, he should have told Shipp early on what the score was.

Did Shipp inform them that he won't be at OU while he was recruiting them? Changes in coaching staffs is a part of football......always has been. In this case, Shipp was fired for sub-standard performance. However, had he been hired away and promoted at another program...he STILL would've recruited kids and then not been around to coach them here at OU. I doubt he knew he was going to be fired.
