Yes, he signed at out high school with the Reds. He then played for one year for OU, quit after that. Went to school with him.

I remember the name but I could not find him on a roster. I checked 1989-1995.

That is from a really suppressed area of my brain so not sure but I seem to remember he at least made an attempt at football after the baseball thing.

klaw,I honestly think I heard his name on the radio and he carried the ball! He was a big time recruit.

Maybe I am thinking he played a few games and got hurt or quit. I just remember it didn't last very long and he was a bit of a flop for how big the hype was around him.

Could have sworn he was on the team in 1990. I went to the opener at UCLA that year, and I'm almost positive he at least dressed out for that Sooner win.

He played, I know he played some in a home game against Kansas or Iowa St. and he played on a lot on the special teams. I think by the time he got to OU he was burned out and his body was beaten down. I was a year younger than him at Owasso and he was a beast.
Right when he quit, one of the other running backs quit and Aaron would have probably got some playing time but he just was done. I remember one Saturday OU played at Colorado and that evening he called when they got back and wanted to know if I wanted to go to the Caravan in Tulsa. Long, long time ago.

He played a little bit one year (1990? or 1991?, not sure). I don't know why sooner stats has erased him from history. He got a few carries his first year, then quit. I don't know why he quit. It seems that he would have had an opportunity to be in the thick of things at RB had he stuck it out. At Owasso, all they did was run left, run right, and repeat. He was a machine. I also remember that he said was going to go try to get on at oSu a year or two after that, but it didn't happen. I think it was just talk. |

He played pro baseball, so no baseball at OU. Football he wore #42 on OU's football team, but forgot the year(s). Did he see the field; I don't think so. I just remember seeing him on the side lines at OU games dressed in OU's uniform. EagleGrowl3 wrote: Baseball or football at OU? |

Let me help you guys out here. Aaron went to play baseball. He tore up his ankle and decided to come back to OU for football. His first year on campus he was the third string RB. Switzer told Aaron to call his parents and tell them that Aaron would get to play against KSU. The game was closer than they thought so he didn't get to play like they expected. Aaron's father was upset and told him to quit. Aaron was one of the better athletes to come from the Tulsa area. He could stand under the goal and dunk it two handed behind his head in 8th grade and he was only 5'10. If you want to see a freak athlete you should watch his daughter in soccer. She did run the 400m in 60 seconds last year as a 7th grader, haha. |
