You and I are on the same page. You're saying if Gibson makes both grades he's a Buckeye ? Brutus15NC wrote: Bell OSU Foster Bama Gibson Auburn if he makes the grades, if he makes Ohio St grades then buckeye Quick Louisville if Stong stays Allen Stanford Mitchell OSU Lewis OSU Johnson Pitt

If he makes Ohio St grades he's a buckeye, wont really matter if he could get into auburn or not --------------------------------------------- --- BuckMike wrote: You and I are on the same page. --------------------------------------------- Let's be honest here, if he gets into OSU he's far surpassed Auburn's standards. Bell-OSU Foster-Bama Gibson-If he studies he will be a Buckeye no doubt Quick-Buckeye. I have a feeling we will pull him. Allen-Stanford Mitchell-Buckeye. Lewis-Buckeye. Johnson-Pitt, wants PT ASAP. If all falls through with Quick and Gibson, look for us to offer Ryan Timmons out of Kentucky and continue pursuing other options like Tony Stevens, I do however, think Quick will end up in scarlet and grey.

RE: Recruit destination predictions...
Ohio State and Auburn accept the same minimum standards.
I truly have no idea except I think we get Lewis, Worley, and probably Gibson. Want Bell the most and Mitchell is up there too as well as Johnson and Quick. Class should be around 21-22 with 18 spots free now.

Wish I had as good a feeling about him being a Buckeye as the others (Lewis, Mitchell, Gibson).

Re: Recruit destination predictions...
Bell and Mitchell are my #1 and #2. Gibson (if he makes the grades), Lewis and Munger seem to be well in reach. I'm from Western PA and I've seen Foster play.... the kid is a talent, but he's also a bit of a pain in the as_..... just my opinion (believe me, I realize he's just a kid and has growing up to do..... but he APPEARS to have A LOT to say to his coaches - and it APPEARS it's constant). I've heard time and time again that it's Pitt, Bama.... and we are a distant 3rd. Again, just my opinion... I get the "hometown" thing, BUT - you are comparing Pitt and Bama?!?!.....

Re: Recruit destination predictions...
Hometown schools always have a lot of pull, especially when you can come in and start immediately. Von Bell is either UT or OSU. Id like OSU chances, but hes been enamored with UT for a while now. But still, like OSU's chances.

Re: Recruit destination predictions...
Von Bell: Tenn Robert Foster: Pitt Shelton Gibson: JUCO James Quick: Louisville Devon Allen: Stanford Mike Mitchell: OSU Tyquan Lewis: OSU Dorian Johnson: Pitt
My guess as to our class finish:
Lewis, Mitchell, Worley, Timmons, 1 flip and 1 guy not currently on the radar

RE: Recruit destination predictions...
I think there is little to no chance that Charlie Strong isn't coaching a bigger school (likely an SEC school) come this winter. That might be the open door for Quick to come to Ohio State. You never know though, recruiting gets insane crazy in December and January.

He is not going to Arkansas. No other jobs are going to be open next year for him to consider in the SEC. As for Quick we still feel really good about where we stand. As long as Strong is here most people we trust believe he goes nowhere besides Louisville.

RE: Recruit destination predictions...
1 win over NC State doesn't exactly have Dooley off the hot seat.
Why not Arkansas? It's not an upper-tier SEC job but they have a big fan base and can pay. Not to be a jerk but it is a major upgrade over Louisville.
I'm not optimistic about Quick, wouldn't be too optimistic about Strong staying much longer if I were a Louisville fan though.

RE: Recruit destination predictions...
Strong is not going to consider every big job that comes open. There are a few that would worry our fanbase but Arkansas is not one of them. Why play third fiddle all the time to LSU and Alabama?

He would most definitely leave for Arkansas as long as another bigger job doesn't come around. louis42 wrote: keylime wrote: I think there is little to no chance that Charlie Strong isn't coaching a bigger school (likely an SEC school) come this winter.
