"McMillan: No, I am not going to Auburn. I do not want to be behind Reuben Foster. I want to be at a school where he is not, so if Dante goes to Auburn, as of now, it is without me."

Interesting.

some great signs that he loves Ohio State, Urban Meyer, and Mike Vrabel!!! biggrin

He states his closest friends in the recruiting process are Clifton Garrett, Drew Barker, and Dante Booker, all of whom are leaning towards going to Ohio State or have them at the top.

This 2014 Ohio State recruiting class could be one for the ages!

Let's get Da'Shawn Hand, Andrew Brown, and a few stud RBs too!

2014 recruiting wish list
1. Andrew Brown
2. Jamarco Jones
3. Raekwon McMillan

He has made a huge deal about being compared to Foster. I don't think it is so much about being afraid of competition.

There is a difference between fearing comp and wanting to go somewhere where it looks like a more direct line to PT.

One linebacker is not going to stop anybody from picking a school from a competition perspective.  You start 3 LBs.  Even is Foster is all hes cracked up to be McMillan could just play next to him.  This sounds like more of a personal thing.

Sweet!! It would be nice if he jumped on early and started recruiting others for us.
What do you think about the Ohio State hire?

Re: 2014 LB Raekwon McMillan Names Leader......

exactly.  He doesn't like Auburn anyway, so it is a moot point.  But McMillan might not want to play next to Reuben Foster because he doesn't get along with him.  McMillan will play whereever he goes, including Ohio State.  He is that good.

Lmfao. Lets just be real honest with ourselves for one minute. What determines if he is afraid of competition is whether he picks osu or another school.

So since he wants to go to a place where there is a potential faster track to PT, he is afraid?  All sorts of things go through kids' heads in determining where they want to play.  I won't pretend to know.  I think it is a major assumption on your part to believe that he is afraid of comp.  Try not to be such a judgmental POS with your "lmfao" childishness.

The recruiting has barely even started for '14 and it is supposed to be a down year overall as far as talent in Ohio. The LB class should be filthy, but I wouldn't be projecting a #1 class just yet.

Drew Barker is another guy who seems pretty tight with Booker and McMillan, not that it matters, but how many stars will he end up...4? 5?

Not a single one of these guys has even verbally committed to Ohio State yet. Same thing you hear every year, from pretty much every program; "the next recruiting class is going to be historic." Wait a year.

OSU has done solid with Meyer in 2012 and 2013. However, look for 2014 to be the year where recruits take notice of OSU again in a big way.

Probably will be something like 92, or 02. Those very special classes who committed to OSU when times weren't great, and then went on to do great things at OSU.

RE: 2014 LB Raekwon McMillan Names Leader......

it has nothing to do with not wanting to compete.

mcmillen has a completely differant personality than foster.

i think he just doesnt like him.noidea

long ways to go on this one but there is no doubt the buckeyes have caught his attention early.

his head coach grew up near me and played at uga.

this one could come down to a granthem and meyer showdown.

RE: 2014 LB Raekwon McMillan Names Leader......

Are they the only two coaches in the country who can recruit? Might want to throw in Brady Hoke, Bob Stoops, Les Miles, Lane Kiffin, Mack Brown, Richt, even Brian Kelly and Gene Chizik...

Making predictions on a class 2yrs away, that doesn't yet even have a single verbal commit, is absolutely pointless.
