Derrick Green on ESPNU at 3pm...
Realize that we aren't in on him anymore, but still interested to see him in a game.

Hackenberg is on the other team(FUMA), didn't realize that.

Good chance to show he's more than a camp star. I'll watch for a bit. Watched TY Issac some last night, didn't get to show much(left with a shoulder injury) besides the fact he's bigger than the DL of his competition.

I'll definitely be watching. One of my favorite recruits and will be following his college career (looks like hes headed to Auburn...)

Im interested to watch him because I have never been overly excited by his film. I think he just a straight ahead runner. I will know more after this.

I was thinking the same thing. Although HS stats can be misleading.

He isnt. Only on ESPN he is. Max Browne is the top QB (USC commit) on every other recruiting site. waltdog wrote:

Same with Shane Morris though, if you have a big arm and go to camps you get bumped no matter what you do in games.

Hackenberg might not live to play at PSU at this rate.

Hermatage should roll, but a QB playing well can make the difference in talent.

RE: Derrick Green on ESPNU at 3pm...
I like Hack better than Morris. I think JT Barrett will have the best college career and overall better than both. He was ranked right up there with Shane Morris and some of the other top QBs despite being a dual threat.

Re: Derrick Green on ESPNU at 3pm...
Green is so much bigger than the Fork Union defenders. I'm watching this game because I still want to see more from him. Can he take over a game like a RB of his rating should be able to? Does he have the vision and burst to make the big plays? Haven't seen it from him so far in his career.

Their offense kind of baffles me so far. Green has run for 5+ a clip yet they keep throwing bubble screens. If you have a kid like that, I think you give him the rock as much as he can stand.

Yeah pretty dumb. He should be good enough to pound the ball all the way down the field, but they get close and he doesn't touch the ball once?

RE: Derrick Green on ESPNU at 3pm...
I was just coming over here to see if you guys could explain the Hackenberg hype to me. His numbers last year are very weak for a kid considered a pocket passer and I have seen nothing in this game so far. In fact, he's being far outplayed by the Hermit Crab QB. I'm not trying to knock Hackenberg at all but he's highly rated by every recruiting service and I don't get it. My guess is he camps well. He passes the eye test and makes nice throws at Elite 11 camps but his film is unimpressive, his stats are even less so and Fork Union is a program known fort producing a lot of talent. These announcers are trying their best to hype this kid but I just don't see it.

His OL isn't great though, and his team is out matched, but I dont get it.
