The next time I play poker, I want him at my table.  Could you gush any more for OSU?  He's all Buckeye.

I like our chances with Gibson (if he qualifies), Quick, Mitchell, and Bell, too.

This could turn out to be one of the best classes in college football history as far as average star rankings!!!! eekeekeek

2014 recruiting wish list
1. Kyle Allen
2. Jamarco Jones
3. Raekwon McMillan

I wouldn't go that far. It won't even be the best average star rankings this year. Still a great class though.

Leave it to a Michigan fan to rain on your parade! I wonder if any Buckeye fans troll on their site.

Who's trolling? Just stating the obvious.

Ugh, hate to agree with a Mich guy but he's right and he didn't say anything wrong.
You seen what USC is doing?
Doesn't mean the class won't be outstanding though.

Re: Tyquan Lewis - I like our chances

I would.  USC will put together one of the best, if not, best classes as far as average star rankings in history this year.  That doesn't mean Ohio State won't be far behind.  Ohio State will have a better class than Michigan by the end of the year as far as average star rankings (and we already have better players now), and there have only been a handful of recruiting classes in history that have averaged over 4.2 stars per player.  I'd say that is definitely one of the best by far in college football history!! THe National championships for Ohio State will not be far behind!

Re: Tyquan Lewis - I like our chances

How do you come up with 4.2 avg rating? You are currently sitting at 3.75 avg star rating with a few spots remaining. Even if you grab all of those players I doubt it would push your average ranking over 4. As far as who has the better players I think both teams classes are outstanding, but we won't know for sure until several years down the line. Michigan is on pace to sign 20 4 star or better guys. Not too shabby. All of this sets up for some classic battles in the foreseeable future.

HAHA you take away Mich long snapper away and there at 4.0. With 2 more spots if they close with Green and Treads both being prob 5 stars next ranking that statement is false. Stribling still has to get ranked also which he will be a 3 star.

Re: Tyquan Lewis - I like our chances

Star average is a terrible way of judging classes, especially before they are finished. Heck, if we kicked our Jacobs, Townsend and Gardner our class is better right?

Anyway, our "potential" finish of Bell, Munger, Mitchell, Gibson, Lewis, and Gardner getting ranked and getting a 3rd star would put us at 21 commits and a 3.86 average. It of course has the potential to be higher is some others gain an extra star, but I'm not going to play the hypothetical move up game. (especially with Scouts refusal to move up Marcus last year even though it was blatantly obvious that he was not a 3* player)

But because of taking some guys that are lower ranked that the coaches love instead of going after or taking 4* guys that they dont, we aren't going to come close to a 4 average, and I'm fine with that.

Our coaching staff is 5* vs. yours that  is 3*. If it was about natural ability and not devolping the player Ron Zook would still have a job!

3.8 average with Jacobs, Woodard, and Thompson going to get a bump up.  Also 4 star Mike Mitchell, 5 star Bell, 5 star Quick, 4 star Johnson, and 5 star Foster all in play.  Don't hate because OSU has a better recruiting class than Michigan, lol.

Re: Tyquan Lewis - I like our chances

They already received bumps on Scout and the chances that you get all of the players you listed are slim. Nice try though. No one is hating its still a great class.

They do have a sight but the members are similar to cicadas. They live underground but come out once every 10 years when they beat Ohio State. The molt will be over this November and you won't hear from them for another decade.
